Got tired of sawing limbs.. Have a lot of trees and falling dead branches that are too big for the lopper. I wanted a small battery powered chain saw to deal with small limbs and branches. In looking at all the options, they all seemed to be designed the same, looked pretty much the same and probably all come from the same Chinese factory. One difference appeared to be in the chain tensioner. I picked the one that seemed the easiest to operate. That turned out to be sort-of true. It might be just me but I have a hard time keeping the chain tight. Generally after a few cuts, the chain starts rattling and I can see it has gotten too loose so I have to fiddle around getting it adjusted again to the proper tension. So a bit annoying but not that I am caught up, I don't expect to use it very often. The chain is sharp and cuts very well. I cut thru some pretty thick branches - like 5-6 inches without difficulty. The kit comes with a nice box, and spare chains and chain guides, which I have not needed yet. You will need to purchase some chain/gear oil to keep the guide lubricated. I am only giving it the 4 star rating instead of 5 because of the chain tightening situation, which is just mostly a minor nuisance. ... show more

I thought I would give this one a shot as it had a more logical approach to the battery connection. It is an AWESOME hand tool and made my deck railing replacement a breeze! Purchased this in December. Charged up the batteries and testes it out it worked. Put it away until spring. It worked well for about 20 minutes and then quit. Put the other battery in and it wouldn’t work. I figured it lost its charge over the winter. I went to charge it and the charger has a green light indicating it’s charged, but it isn’t. I put the battery back into the saw and the indicator lights aren’t turning on. So the charger says it’s charged but the saw says it isn’t. It’s too late to return.
