I was nervous about getting this because there’s so many people who say it’s hard to put together “my husband builds furniture and he said this is the hardest piece he’s ever built blah blah blah…” I’m a 29 year old woman…I built the entire thing by myself. Is it time consuming? Yes. Are there a lot of screws and pieces? Yes. Is it hard at all? No. Are the instructions hard to follow? No. Seriously if you just take your time and pay attention to the details the instructions aren’t hard to follow at all. Nothing about this was hard to put together. Mine wasn’t missing any pieces. There were two doors where the holes were pre-drilled incorrectly (or I was just accidentally sent two left side doors) but the wood is really soft pine wood. You do not need to pre-drill any holes if there are any missing or incorrectly placed holes you can literally just screw any screws into the wood with a screwdriver and a bit of pressure no big deal. I only used my drill really slowly on the hinges because that was just easier for me so I could make sure the doors were hung level. I used a screwdriver for literally every other screw. It’s a great value for the money. It’s sturdy once built. It looks great. I don’t have anything negative to say about it! I’d recommend this piece to anyone who doesn’t mind assembling furniture!

I purchased this cabinet to replace one that came damaged. The first thing I noticed was how much better this was packaged. The boxes came inside additional protective boxes. The instructions were pretty good if you carefully follow the pictures. There are no written instructions. I have much experience assembling "knock down" furniture, so I had little problem. The one thing I noticed about this cabinet compared to similar cabinets is that the wood top and lower bottom boards were finger jointed instead of long laminated boards. The joints were very tight and this marginally detracted from the overall appearance. To make assembly easier I separated the hardware into an old silverware tray with the part number tags visible. I was only missing two small screws for the drawer pulls that were easily replaced. Overall this was a vey nice cabinet and would purchase again if needed.

Pretty good quality for a “build it yourself ” piece of furniture. It is real wood! It’s stained with no clear coat. It does take quite a bit of time to put together (3 hrs mostly by myself). It would have helped if all the pieces were marked. Some pieces had no numbers and the instructions had pictures and numbers only! I did manage to put it together with minimal help. Would definitely recommend.

This buffet is made of very nice thick wood, not the thin plywood stuff you find at IKEA or on Wayfair. That alone gives it 2 stars. The color looks as pictured, I may paint it later, but done with it for now after all the time it took to assemble. Also the hardware is nice quality and countertop is nice and solid. I feel confident putting heavy things on and inside, but moving it around is not to solid. The back is a flimsy cardboard/wood item, but nobody sees it so not a deal breaker (not the wood backing shown online though) -Those are the good things. Customer service, you have to contact directly if you really want to get correct parts not included in box. The agent is very nice. (First shipment my box #1 was left outside in heavy thunderstorm on my storm drain, they sent whole new box). But wherever they send from takes forever. They took a week or sometimes 2 to send the correct parts: 3 times! (missing lot pieces in box 2) So it took awhile. Assembly was painful, the directions are tedious and some pictures aren't accurate. I'm very peculiar about putting labels on every bunch of nails and pieces and bagging or marking them with labeled tape keeping them separate. Glad I did it it would have been so much worse. You'll find diagram doesn't always show correct alignment or imaging rendered in 3D is off. It will be helpful to have a drill, wood glue, mini dowels pieces, hammer, and extra screws, and some common sense, I got it put together, but there is a hole (see picture) I accidently went too far trying to fix misaligned holes they predrilled for drawer incorrectly. I also laid it all out on a spare padded cloth to not scratch the wood. Would like to order another, but the assembly was exhausting along with trying to get proper pieces (as they said they got new contractor and he numbered pieces incorrectly)... so getting me proper pieces was a huge test of patience. I put it together by myself though. I'm a 160lb female, in a ankle cast so it shouldn't be too hard. I'm not an engineer but but am used to assembling things out watching YouTube how to fix simple stuff. If they fix the instructions (drawer assembly especially), the drawer isn't on rollers, but a board which you slide wooden drawer along; also they need quality control to get proper parts boxed to you, it would raise the star rating considerably because the chest is a pretty good solid piece of furniture.

Do not waste your money like we did buying this awful piece!!!!!! The instructions are horrible to try and follow!! The pictures are almost not legible and hard to understand which side of things should be on. The pieces are half lettered while like pieces are not! The stamping is so light some of the letters are difficult to make out. The ones that are not lettered (half of them) are either marked with a blue or red line only without a key as to which color goes to which letter!! Other pieces have no letters or markings. It took us over two hours and we are only finishing step six. The instructions have you going from a front piece to parts for the side etc no rhyme or reason! Then on step six their is a step where you have to attach it to two other long solid pieces there is no way as thin as the strips are you can put three sides together without damaging one of the outside strips. The worst thing happened because seven strips one broke while being lifted. Beware, they say pine some of the pieces are more like balsa wood!! Don’t waste your time or money this item looks nice in the picture but it’s awful.
