I have mixed feelings about this dining set. The price-to-quality ratio is very good, but there are three reasons why I couldn't recommend this furniture to people who don't have basic furniture assembly skills or manual dexterity. First, although the packaging is excellent, it does not come with instructions; I had to search for and download them from their website in PDF format and read them (by the way, they are very brief, not intuitive, and extremely concise). Second, in the final step (screwing in the chair seats), it turns out they don't have pre-drilled holes; I had to use my drill to accomplish this step, and not everyone will have a drill at home or know how to use it. Third and finally, 2 out of the 6 chairs ended up being uneven; the instructions do not specify how to correct this calibration issue in their manufacturing process, and it took me a lot of time and effort to identify the problem and learn how to fix it. I finished the assembly in about 4 hours, during which I considered packing everything back in the box and returning it. The final result was quite good, with adequate material quality, good presentation, and the right weight and size. I'm happy with the final outcome, but I couldn't recommend it, for example, to a family member or friend unless they are skilled in DIY. ... show more

Very disappointed with both Ashley and Amazon. Ordered this as we were very impressed with this dining set when we saw it at our friend's house. They got it from NFM. We also initially thought of getting it from NFM but local store went out of stock. But found this in Amazon. First, I was jittery ordering online but then ordered it as I always had good experience with Amazon. But I was wrong. Delivery box was broken. Delivery guy had to pick up each item from the box separately and deliver. I was afraid to assemble initially. But started to assemble after confirming with Amazon service. As we assembled, we found one or other issue in every part: Chips almost in every part; Some chair frames slots were such that you cannot fir the legs or seat cushions; Wood finishing on chairs was rough. It was pulling the clothes. Due to all these issues, we stopped assembling after 3 chairs. Note: Item said sold & shipped by Amazon. No reference to Ashley. So, not sure these issues are because of Amazon or Ashley. My friends bought it from NFM and had no issues. Amazon service issues: Called Amazon and asked for a replacement. To my surprise, they said this does not qualify a replacement. They asked me to return and order a new one. And by that time, they increased the price by $140. And when I asked to adjust price as per my old order, Amazon said they cannot offer that. I just have to buy new one at new price. After multiple chats, they offered me $5 gift certificate for a $700 item. Just wowwwwwww!!! Overall, very disappointed with this purchase. Will be returning. ... show more

I tried to buy this table set at Ashley‘s but they ran out. I’m glad Amazon had it in stock. It’s very beautiful and well-made I suggest paying the $99 and having them set it up for you. Just gorgeous!

I wasn't sure what I was going to get at the price point, but I can say that I was pleasantly surprised. The assembly was simple, the furniture feels sturdy and is comfortable enough for daily dining. Overall happy with the purchase.

Where this dining set seemed to offer a great value for money, it did come with some caveats. First, it came with these scratches (as seen in the photos) and in a damaged box. I paid of inside the doorway delivery, but the delivery guys left it in the backyard. The corners of the huge box were already badly damaged. Second and the most frustrating issue was attaching the cushions to the chairs. Cushions wouldn’t attach as only a few millimeters of screws would go into the the cushions and cushions would come off in my hands if I tried to lift the chair by holding cushion. The screws for cushions were too small for the chair design. After several, failed attempts I went to the local Ace hardware with a sample screw and ask their guy for advice. He suggested trying/buying screws that were 1/3” longer and thicker. They came $0.35 a piece and I bought many but solved the problem. However, the time lost in all this was much more precious Other than these issues the dining table set is alright. ... show more
