The unit works, but I could not get 1000 ft. out of it or anything close to that. I tried it in between buildings that were 300 ft. apart and could not get it to work. inside maybe 50ft. through walls. It will be used, but not in my intended application.

easy to install, easily expandable. still messing around with the different tones, it is difficult to say for sure, but does not seem as loud as our nonexpandable series C doorbell -edit- Originally I bought a C-series that came with 1 plug in chime receiver and one pushbutton trasmitter. I was very pleased initially. The chime was very loud and the button was reliable, however, over time and after a couple battery changes, the battery contacts became a little corroded. I cleaned them, but once corroded, they are easier and faster to get corroded again... After missing a couple important deliveries that needed to be signed for, I decided to get a new replacement. After determining through reading many reviews and Q&As that I could not buy a new button for my existing C-series chime, I decided to go with the expandable, and component replaceable Crosspoint Series. I bought this system in March and in August one of the 2 plug in receiver chime units stopped making sound. The blue light would flash in sync with the chimes and tones it was supposed to be making but no sound. Luckily the other chime receiver was working fine so the doorbell was still semi-functional. I contacted customer service (via website) and they walked me through the necessary steps to ensure the other components were working, and that it really was just the one receiver chime, and not the button or anything that could be resolved by resetting, etc... They offered to replace the unit for $4.95 shipping and handling. I thought that was pretty fair. Inventory was low on Crosspoint receivers so they sent a Starpoint plug-in receiver chime. And it is difficult to say for sure, but it seems a little louder than the old Crosspoint chime it replaced and it works just fine with my existing Crosspoint weathertight doorbell button. Very satisfied overall and would recommend this item to anyone. Thank you Sado Tech!

It's a set of inexpensive, simple doorbells with a traditional ding-dong and few preset musical chimes, 4-level volume control, 2 buttons. That's exactly what I needed for the garage and back porch. Very easy to use. Pushing the volume button on the chime will cycle through the 4 levels. The highest volume is very loud. The 2 up-down buttons on the chime lets you select the preset chimes. Areas of concerns: The buttons can be too easily taken out of the brackets, with a very light push from the bottom. The buttons have small plastic hooks on the back that latch on to the brackets. These hooks look like they should be stronger for durability. For the price, I'm OK with these small issues, but wish the brackets were better designed.

We just received our SadoTech CROSSPOINT Expandable Wireless Doorbell, so this review is being written without knowing how well it will function over a period of time. We live in a townhouse community and have a screened-in, covered patio which is around the corner from our front door. It's the first thing that's seen when deliveries are made, so consequently, pizzas, UPS/ Fedex packages, etc. are often brought to our "back" door. So that we're aware when this happens, a remote, wireless, weatherproof doorbell seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Setup was quick and easy, right out of the box, and obviously, no wiring was necessary. Probably took fifteen minutes. The receivers (chimes) simply need to be plugged into an electrical outlet within 500 feet of the transmitter (button.) Ours is less than 100 feet. The volume is easily adjusted and can be heard without a problem throughout our townhouse. The second receiver is located upstairs. Syncing the transmitter with the receiver was a snap! Our only complaint is having to play through all of the ringtones before selecting one and then going back to find the one you want to use. The transmitter (button) is located outside our patio and not under cover, so it needed to be weatherproof. The IP44 rating is supposed to make it impervious to rain or other inclement weather, which is the primary reason we chose this particular model. Only time will tell if this is the case, so I'll have to update my review later. I attached it outside our patio gate (smooth surface) with the double-sided tape that was included. That gives me the flexibility to relocate it, if I need to, before attaching with the screws that were also provided. We're very happy with our purchase, so far. The expandability and flexibility of the system is great, if future changes need to be made, including the addition of transmitters, receivers and motion detectors or door/window sensors. The ability to take the system with you, should you need to move, is also a huge plus! The price was very reasonable, as well!

I haven't tested all the sounds. The one it came with suited me. It has decent range and sounds good. There is volume variability available, but I also have not tested that. See review from other users for sounds and volume. The one problem that occurred reflects on Amazon, not the product. Delivery was cancelled by Amazon due to some problem on the truck. Then, when the replacement arrived, one of the parts didn't work and Amazon had already used up the one replacement they allow. Their remedy was to cancel the order with a refund and have me reorder. In the meantime, the price had increased, so it was more expensive.
