After dealing with higher end, problematic and more expensive under counter refrigerators it was time to try something different. Our under counter refridgerator unit is in a finished basement, small kitchen area. The Electactic 24" Double Drawer arrived in perfect condition. The door handles were easy to assemble with the necessary hex key wrench tool. The pull out drawers are all stainless steel and vented to allow for air flow between the drawers. We opted for purr out drawers to make it easier to reach the contents compared to our old door model. The quality of the drawers and slides provide a solid, quality feel when opened and closed. It is extremely quiet! One minor problem - the digital temperature display was showing temperature in degrees Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. No information in the user manual but an email to the company quickly resolved the issue with a simple reset of the display. Excellent response from their technical support department! Very satisfied with the quality and price of the product. Hopefully it will last for many more years.

Careful how you load this thing! Don't put too many cans on the top rack or you will end up with exploded cans. I made that mistake and regretted it. After learning my lesson the hard way, I love the fridge. Works great in my office. Keeps my soda nice and coooold.

I really like the look of this countertop cooler. And it would be good for keeping certain beverages cool. But it has drawbacks: TEMPERATURE - The dial that controls the temperature is not measured by temperature—which would have been both useful and logical. It would have been even better if it was scaled to the optimal drink requirements: Red wine=55F (45F to 65F); White wine=50F (45F to 55F); Champagne=45F (40F to 50F). However, it is an 8 point scale from 0 (off) to 7 (coldest). It tested these out and this is what I found: - Cold is *really* cold. Set to 7, I measured the internal temperature at *below freezing* (see photo). Now I was using an analogue freezer temperature gauge, so it’s not super accurate. But the cooler was way cooler than it needs to be - Setting to 4, the temperature rose to about 40F. That’s around where a regular fridge would be - Setting to 0 obviously turned off the cooler so it eventually got to around room temperature. However, the cooler continued making burbling noises which carried on even after I unplugged it. Not sure why this would happen. SIZE - You really have to put full-sized wine bottles in top first. At the lower back of the cooler is a shelf that stops the base of a bottle, but the slimmer neck can slide over it. - The shelves can come out, which is good, but it means that bottles (or cans) must be stacked on top of each other. PROS: + It is quiet. + Has an internal blue light embedded in the roof of the cooler. That’s nice, but it will get somewhat blocked out if the cooler is full of stuff + Looks good with the dark glass front. You can see what’s in the cooler without having to open it. SUMMARY To me, the biggest issue is the temperature control. For something billed as a wine cooler, it should be more wine-specific. I guess that, if you play around with the temperature control you should be able to make it wine-friendly. It would have been nice it they had included an internal thermometer. I think it scores more as a soda or beer cooler. It might appeal to those oenophiles who like to display (a small fraction of) their wine cellar on their kitchen counter, but it has its limitations. So I’d give it a rather qualified recommendation based on the above.

I recently got this cooler, and so far, it’s been a great addition to my kitchen. It fits perfectly in the corner without taking up too much room, and the glass door gives it a sleek, modern look. The adjustable shelves are a major plus because it allows me to customize the space for different sized bottles or cans. I use it for a mix of wine, soda, and beer, and it does the job well, keeping everything at a consistent and cool temperature. The digital temperature display is very convenient, and I like that I can adjust it with ease. I haven’t noticed any major fluctuations in temperature, so I trust it to keep my drinks just the way I like them. The one thing I would point out is that it does make a little noise, but it’s nothing that’s been bothersome to me. It’s quiet enough to not be distracting, but I did expect it to be a bit more silent, especially at night when the house is quieter. The size is perfect for a smaller living area or if you don’t have a ton of space for a full-sized fridge. It’s much better than a regular fridge for keeping drinks at a good, consistent temperature without over-cooling like a regular fridge sometimes does. The shelves are sturdy and can hold a decent amount of weight, though I wouldn’t push it too far with very heavy bottles. I’ve noticed that the temperature control works well for different types of drinks – my beer is cold without freezing it, and the wine stays at the perfect chill. The only downside is that the door has a bit of a hard time closing sometimes, but that’s likely because it’s new and might adjust with use. It’s not a dealbreaker, though, just something to keep an eye on. The fact that it fits 16 bottles or 68 cans is just right for me; it’s big enough for a party, but it doesn’t take up too much space in my kitchen or living room. The build feels solid and looks sleek, but I do think it’s a bit lighter than expected, so I’m careful not to move it too much, but overall, it’s holding up well. The cooler keeps everything chilled consistently, and it really helps to have it nearby for easy access to cold drinks.
