It's a good value for the money. Very sturdy construction and the base, when filled with water, seems heavy enough to stabilize it. It wasn't very hard to assemble but there are some mistakes in the assembly instructions (mis-identified bolts). The net is kind of cheap but that's a minor quibble. Please note: the description claims the hoop is "shock-absorbing". It's not. There are some bolts with springs on them but I think they're for looks only. If anyone were to hang on the rim the metal hoop would certainly bend. It's definitely NOT like an NBA or college hoop that can flex and then pop back into position. ... show more

TLDR, :) We purchased one 10 months ago. A few days ago my son complained that the panel peeled off and he could not play. And I contacted the seller, they sent me a replacement for free. The new story is, we installed it yesterday. It was about the same amount of time to do it again. iMO, the new one, which is a newer model, is much better than the old one which has been discontinued. The. new one uses screws instead of glue to stick the panel. It had a larger base so it is more stable in case of strong wind. The hood height is now easier adjustable. This new product has just fixed all issues we experienced and now it is excellent. With the also excellent customer service that is why we give a 5-star. Thank you for reading. ... show more

The set-up was more difficult than it had to be with poor instructions. No complaints about the hoop itself. Quality is fine: height adjusts with minimal issues for the shorter setting. Great once you finally get it put together. Instructions are useless though, make no sense. Parts are labeled in the instructions but not labeled on the actual parts. Bit of a headache but got it together thanks to a handy husband.

The bracket used to hold the main part of the hoop stable rusted through after 9 months. Making it unstable and unusable. I contacted customer service and they were very responsive.
