I’ve had this on a 1994 ranger with a 4.0 for a year. The truck has long tube headers, cats deleted, and another straight through resonator in line with this. Even without the resonator this muffler is nearly stock quiet even with the headers and cat delete! I just redid my exhaust routing today and kept this muffler because it looks new still and I noticed from day one it’s been installed backwards. So the inlet is the outlet, this is the only way I can make it fit my truck since it needs the offset to be the inlet and the center exit. Maybe running it backwards is why it’s extra quiet, idk, but the truck runs fantastic and can spin 34” swampers without an issue. ... show more

Exactly what I was looking for on my Jeep XJ. If you’re looking for something that’s loud and obnoxious this isn’t for you. This is almost as quiet as stock which is what I was I was after. Package was busted in. Part its self has some dents and scratches. But other wise it's installed Sounds much better. Sound is not very loud as that's what I was after

I can't say anything about longevity, but I've been running this on my jeep for the last few months without problems. Fit perfectly and my Jeep doesn't have a 20-year old muffler anymore. This isn't really a sexy exhaust sound, but I own a Jeep not a sports car.

    • Sounds weird and obviously poor quality build
Figured since this was not the cheapest of cheap mufflers and had good reviews it might be okay. Not the case. It sounds ridiculous like a strange buzz humm, I just can't even describe it. My old Jeep Cherokee XJ backfired a few times as I have been working on it getting the kinks out, really not that bad, but this muffler blew up like a marshmallow and the seams split wide open. BTW it sounded strange before that. I've already cut it off and going spend a few extra dollars to get a real muffler not a couple tin cans welded together. ... show more

Since I have a welder and a lift in my garage, the install was pretty easy. Just cut the old one off, cleaned up the pipes and slipped the new muffler on and welded it. I was amazed how quiet my Grand Cherokee is now. For the price I would buy it again, as a matter of fact, I did buy another one to put on my Jeep XJ. ... show more
