I am amazed at the excellent customer service for the Lock. They followed up several times and were easily accessible via phone and email. For some reason my lock didn't include the gateway in the box, but Tara was able to resolve this. The Lock itself is quite sturdy and it was an easy install. I like that you can change the direction of the handle and it is nice to be able to unlock with bluetooth/code/fingerprint. I just finished speaking with support again, Tara is incredible! I was a bit confused as to why the door kept locking, however I learned that this was due to the auto lock feature that can be disabled or set on a timer. Now that the gateway is installed, we can remotely unlock the door and hook it up to Alexa. This is truly an incredible lock and support is the best I've ever encountered!! ... show more

UPDATE: Customer service sent me another. New one allows me to change handle direction- however finger print reader rarely works so I have to use the code. Package arrived fine. Went to install and followed the directions to change handle direction. The directions call to use a Philips head screw driver to unscrew the handle to change the handle directions. The manufacturer screwed the screw so tightly into the handle that it strips the screw when you attempt to unscrew it. Now the entire product is useless. ... show more

I have three of these Hornbill smart locks that I installed on our two houses in different states. All of them can be locked or unlocked via any of the following methods: combination code, fingerprints, Bluetooth, or from anywhere on your mobile phone. (The latter requires the included Bluetooth gateway and the Smart Life mobile phone app.) The installation instructions are clear and easy to follow, and each of these three locks took me about 30 minutes to install. I really like this lock. The app works great with it as well. It looks sturdy. It just makes some sounds whenever opening the door. Easy to install. I have been using the same battery for about 3 months and the app says the batteries are 100% full still.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased this for my office replacing the old lock. The installation was a breeze. I just had a minor issue running the app which was immediately addressed by their support. I have linked it with my Alexa. Remote locking/unlocking and notifications are working great so far.
