I loved this lock from the start, but it stopped working after some months. However, Customer service was on top of things right away. Jackson - customer service representative- was very quick to troubleshoot the issue and texted me right away. He was very patient and very good at troubleshooting. At the end, he was very patient and good to determine a malfunction of the unit. Everyone who visited our house said how aesthetic and shiny it looks when they were given a 1 time code to enter our home ;) Alexa integration is seamless and remote functionality with Gateway (included) is very helpful when we travel and want to let our friends feed pets. Battery lasts for months and the cute voice and light when the door is locked/unlocked is good add on. I would recommend this for not a pricey but a feature rich reliable door lock. I purchased an older version of this lock for my house a little about 16 months ago and it has a couple of glitches but overall we have been really pleased. So, when a friend needed to get a lock to allow others access to her house without giving out keys, I located this lock and recommended it. The price is great and the features are so much better than the model I purchased for my house! She’s loving this lock and while I’ve been visiting it has worked so much better than the lock on my front door! After couple of months of using Smonet lock, I suddenly lost all TTLock software administration icons (possible,due to recent phone upgrade), and was unable to add temporary lock access to anyone. I contacted customer support and has been connected to the technician, named Sparrow. He was very knowledgeable and professional.     • Not a Good Lock for Real Safety

First off, I want to say that I purchased this to replace a Schlage lock that had started to malfunction, and I'd had another Schlage lock on my previous house and that one never had any problems. However, when my current lock started regularly malfunctioning, I decided I'd like to update to a Smart Lock, and after looking at many of them on Amazon I chose this lock from Smonet. I really like the smart features. Having all the tracking data on the app is really nice to have, the RFID keychain cards are a nice touch, and I liked the ability to have the Wifi gateway. All these things satisfied my nerdy techy needs. The need that wasn't met was the need for safety. Yes, it's a deadbolt and functionally it looks and installs like any other deadbolt system. However, the components the lock is made from simply aren't satisfactory. The lock itself is very light, with most of the components made of plastic. Of course, there are metal pieces within the locking mechanism itself, but I feel like it would be very easy to tear the front facing off of this lock and manually open it. Of course I didn't try but I'm confident. Also, the bolts that go between the outer half and the inner half that provide the real stability of the lock are tiny compared to normal lock bolts. This lock would undoubtedly break like a child's toy if you kicked the door. Even if the deadbolt itself held it's position, with the lock broken into two pieces it would make access to the home very easy. Honestly, I still have the lock installed, but I just don't know if I'm going to keep it or not. It makes me worried about my family's safety when I'm not there. ... show more

Bought this lock in August and by the end of February, the motor died. After taking the lock apart, you can hear the motor trying to turn but nothing happens. Can only use as a manual door lock now. Not worth the money to last less than a year. Update: customer service has been great. They sent a newer model that was easier to install and has a nice fob. Customer service called back multiple times to correct the situation. As long as this one continues to work I’ll be happy with the purchase! ... show more

Update: Customer Service was so much better than expected. Even after the warranty period, the company reached out to me and offered to send me a replacement lock. That's gret! Don't know how long these should last, but 1.5 years doesn't seem like long enough. After many cycles, seems like the gear mechanism and motor just aren't up to the task any longer. Battery says 85% so it's not a power issue. I opened it up and it initially looked like the gear is indexed with a tab that passes through several sensors to let the system know its position. The gear jumped its indexed position. Tried aligning everything and it appeared to work, but now the lock will not auto-lock any longer. Seems like a poor design that just doesn't stand the test of time. A device like this should be durable. Don't risk the safety of your family and home to these cheap locks. ... show more
