  • Rated best for 2020, now I Know why!!!
Great system. My brother has had the same system 48k model, my mom also has this system in her home 48k. We all live in different areas of Las Vegas, and deal with the hardest water around. They both loved their fleck 5600 SXT, so I followed suit and bought the same model, just a little larger resin tank 64k. They all work the same, I figured for the extra 30 bucks, go big or go home. Only real benefit is now I won't have to Regen as much, so theoretically less salt used, so the 30 bucks should be saved within a year or two. I had an existing Kenmore ultrasofr 275 that was 15 years old, and finally a line broke inside, I could have fixed it for 22 bucks, but that thing was done, and I got my money out of it. This is one of the best systems our there. Fleck is number one in home softener systems, and I know why. Every year they are the top rated system, and it shows. Instructions were okay, better to watch a few you tube videos on how to install as it makes it easier to understand. Had no issues with changing out the units, and the new one so far works flawlessly. I forgot what soft water is like. My old unit couldn't have been doing its job. The water after installation is awesome, you will feel the difference. Your skin will be softer. It's a A++++ in my book and while a hundred to two hundred dollars more than the all in one systems, this is worth every extra penny with service and the warranty they include. Win win all the way around! ... show more

  • Effective and worth while! Had to hire someone to install it for us still though.
The media could not be loaded. It wasn't beginner friendly type of installation so you definitely still need a Professional if you're buying this independently like we did. We live in Colorado and the water in our area is super hard to the point that our showers form stalactite-looking residue within a few weeks so we were in dire need of a water softener. About 8 hours after installation and the water test came back pretty good, so it's pretty fast acting all things considered (see the test pictured). The system itself is pretty hefty, and if you're no professional and need to hire one to help you install, prepare to account for installation costs (personally, we ended up spending an extra $400 bucks on top of buying this system to have it all installed, set-up, and ready for use). Other than that, great choice, especially for bigger homes! We have this for a 5 bedroom/3.5 bathroom house and it's a good size to fit our needs. ... show more

  • Working as expected
I did the research, and saved some money installing this system myself. Was pretty easy DIY with some basic skills and knowledge. So much info on YouTube and support is available with a phone call if needed. I can't comment on that because I didn't need it but I know it's available. Arrived in reasonable time, maybe could have been packaged a little better but nothing was damaged. All the components were there and in working order. I haven't had any issues although it's only been up and running for three weeks. I don't foresee any either. It is a very heavy package and recommend help as the tank with resin in it is upwards of 180lbs. Noticeable difference in my hard water after a short time. My hardness was 46 and now according to the strips they provided a zero. I will be taking a sample in to retest at cost to see if that is accurate after a little longer time in use. I will update when that info is available. ... show more

  • Worth the money
I installed the softener myself and it was a breeze. The instructions were pretty simple and straight forward. This isn't the first softener I have installed. The last one was a major brand name. The fleck is actually an upgrade and the internals are easy to find. I'm just happy I don't have to go through a dealer for a specific o-ring. I found a video online explaining how to run though the menus and what the codes mean. ... show more

  • Great Softener with Poor Interface
As a water softener I really like the Fleck 5600SXT, it does a MUCH better job softening our water than our old Morton softener. However the display is cryptic and hard to use. There's no way you could use it without a detailed instructions on what each of the screens mean (or being a professional installer who knows what it all means). I used a third parties instructions to figure it out. Physical installation was easy and well thought out. ... show more

  • Excellent and Easy to Install
This replaced a 17 year old water softener that had become an unreliable headache to keep functioning. I have very hard water at around 45-50 gpg and this softener does an excellent job. I'm no plumber but I was able to install this myself in a couple of hours (keeping in mind this was a replacement of an old one so the water taps were already in place in my setup). A pair of 3/4 inch sharkbite flex connectors (also available here on amazon) were all I needed to make the connections to my house water system. Also, it could just be me and while it worked immediately, it seemed like it took a good week or two before my water was really soft. But I couldn't be happier now! ... show more

  • Great quality, amazing price
Can’t complain, I was about to pay 9k for a water softener system and end up paying a lot less for same or better quality.
