So sleek. Install was a breeze. I bought 4 of theese fans for our new house and i absolutely love them! Before purchasing i had read a few reviews that said the fan motor is loud so i was a bit nervous but none of the four that we bought are loud. Very cute fan, very quiet. Relatively easy to install. Just wished the down rod was like 2 inches longer. It’s quite tricky to hang. I even used the extender. I recommend this fan 100% . For average to small sized rooms these fans look solid and are very reliable. Ceiling fan installation isn't fun *see michelangelo sistine chapel* but this is a relatively doable project for anyone with a screwdriver, wire cutters and some elbow grease. Very easy to install and all of the settings work as expected. I've purchased other off-brand (questionably labeled and packaged) fans here on Amazon in the very recent past, and due to their poor quality and functionality, I was inspired to be a bit more discerning with my next purchase. Westinghouse is a solid brand with a solid reputation, and I was not disappointed at all with the product. I got this for my son's room, and he loves it. Installed 3 of these in our house. They are alright, motor is audible at low speeds but it’s not overpowering. One of the fans unfortunately has developed a consistent scraping sound quite quickly and will need replacement as that is a rather loud noise and is definitely enough to be distracting. Very nice product. Please understand that a 42" with only 3 blades is for a small room, so you cannot expect a huge airflow. That you will get from a 55" 5 blade fan. It is well made and it has a contemporary look. In my opinion is nicer than anything I found at the local stores even for twice the money. Like most fans today, it comes with a LED light (only 2 bulbs of 60 watts equivalency) so again, it is made for a small room. so if you need more light, you may want to change the bulbs. The noise that some complain comes from the angle of the blades cutting through the air and not from the motor. ... show more
