This is faster and toast better. the bottom eject is obviously the best feature. Its harder to push down than most, fine for an adult but might be hard for younger kids. Has a loud clunk when it ends which I think is a plus. Large rye pieces tend to stick out the top if cooking 2 at time, this happens with many toasters. You can just toast 1 piece of a time. Because the toaster is warmer the first batch will be lighter than following batches. Turning the toaster down 2-3 clicks is a must after the first batch if you want consistent toasting. I like the clicky temperature dial. Gives you more consistent results. i do wish there were better marking but honestly you can make your own if you need. I do wish the toaster could be mounted to the wall but it takes up less space than most 2 slice toasters. I have only used it for about a month, but will update this if my impression changes or if it breaks.

Toasters without a gluten-free setting tend to bork your toast, so finding a toaster that not only has that setting but also dispenses your toast UNDER the toaster so you don't burn yourself trying to take it out was the best thing ever. I love this toaster so much. The settings pay attention to what you want and it's very easy to memorize the best setting for each item you put in. It also folds up very nicely and its taller, thinner frame allows it to take up less shelf space in your kitchen. I also like its chassis -- it's made of a material that's nice and light and doesn't get blazing hot like the sides of some other toasters. 10/10, stop looking. This toaster is so functional and cool.

In the advertisement, this toaster looks fantastic. It appears to be a slide toaster and a pop-up toaster. Additionally, it has a thin design that allows you to toast two bagels next to each other in less area and has a control panel to adjust the toast's appearance. I'm disappointed that it's bigger than I anticipated. The mechanism releases the toast onto the tray by plunging down to unlock a trap door beneath it, rather than just popping them out. The plunger on this primarily plastic toaster is primarily decorative and does not really pop toast; instead, it functions as a changeable weak point mechanism. The cleanup is simple, but if you want to make a grilled cheese or quesadilla sandwich, you'll have work to do. I suppose it's energy efficient because I occasionally have to toast the bread more than once to get it to a golden brown. The provided examples demonstrate how the toaster will cook bread unevenly when used for the first time. However, if bread is inserted into the toaster sideways and given time, the toaster will begin to toast the bread uniformly. Since the device doesn't pop up, anything that is too large or too rigid won't fit through to the bottom tray, which is necessary. There are no attachments that fit into this toaster to make grilled sandwiches or other foods. If this toaster isn't going to spring toast upward, the cancel button should have included a start button, in my opinion. Additionally, this toaster is too big for a kitchen table to operate without the tray open.

I've been wanting to try one of these “drop in-drop out” for a while now. I hate all the crumbs that get stuck in the bottom of other toasters. It doesn't matter that they give you a tiny tray to help “clean it out”. Less than half the crumbs ever fall in those! The last toaster burnt out so I went looking and caught this one on sale so figured I'd give it a try. First was a DOA so sent that back to try again. -It works pretty much like I was hoping all the crumbs fall out the bottom. Most on the “door”, the rest in the hinge of the door, that when you close it up will fall all the way out. They are not getting stuck which is what I was going for. So unless you want to clean the crumbs up off the counter every few uses I'd put it in a tray/cookie sheet. -It toasted the toast perfectly, as with any though if you do it back to back and don't want the next set darker turn it down a smidge. -We do store and homemade bread and the big slot made toasting a variety much easier.

This was a great purchase. Two people who saw mine brought one for themselves. What ever setting it is set on, the toast comes out just right. It looks just fine on the counter. I like the slim look. It does not take much room on the counter.
