Toaster looks nice, fits well into the space. Does a great job of toasting. The thing is though, it does too good of a job. Even on the very lowest setting it sometimes toasts too much, especially with any kind of slim-sliced bread. They need to dial down the temperature another notch to get that fifth star. I can't imagine toasting on the higher settings; you'd set off your smoke alarm.

We’ve been using this toaster daily, and it’s been a solid upgrade from our old basic model. The touchscreen and LCD display are actually useful, not gimmicky. It’s nice being able to see exactly what setting you’re on and how much time is left, especially on busy mornings. The extra-wide slots are a big plus for us. It handles bagels, thicker bread, and waffles without forcing anything in, and the self-centering works well enough that both sides come out evenly toasted. My wife likes lighter toast, I prefer it a bit darker, and the shade settings are consistent once you learn which number you like. The preset modes are convenient, but we mostly stick to manual shade control. Defrost and reheat both work as advertised, and the cancel button responds instantly. Cleanup is easy thanks to the removable crumb tray, and the stainless finish looks good on the counter without feeling cheap. Long story short, if you want something that looks nice, handles thicker bread, and gives you predictable results without overcomplicating things, this one does the job well.

I should have looked at the dimensions before I bought this toaster, but I didn't, and this ended up being one of the biggest toasters I've ever bought. It was simply too long and too big overall for my limited kitchen space. Other than than the size issue, it emits so much heat from the top when in use, that it would make it difficult to use under the cabinet without worrying about damage from the heat, and as a result would have to be pulled out with every use. Definitely not convenient to have to worry about using it. Another thing I didn't like is that it's not fingerprint resistant. I got the plain steel model without the black section. Just by taking it out from the box and putting it on the counter, it left every single fingerprint on the side that couldn't be easily wiped off. Otherwise, based on the heat during testing, I can attest that this will definitely toast your bread. It felt like oven. It has multiple functions to include frozen bread option. It looks nice if you have space for it, removable crumb tray, and the cord storage area on the bottom. Simple to use and plenty of space for larger slices or bagels. Otherwise it seems like a good quality toaster and it does what it's supposed to do.

I've had this toaster for about six months now. It still works as well as it did on day one. The pros are the extra-long slots that can fit slices from wide loaves and the pull-out crumb tray that collects anything that falls to the bottom. The cons are that it takes longer than I'm used to to get a good browning (even on the highest setting), and it doesn't toast both sides of the bread evenly, so you have to pull it out and flip it if you want it to be even. With that said, if you're looking for a long-slice toaster on a budget, this isn't a bad choice. Other models I looked at were double, if not triple, the price. Having to flip your bread around and wait a couple of minutes more may be worth the savings.
