🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The product in question appears to be a versatile countertop oven that offers a range of functions. Despite its learning curve and certain design flaws, users find that it excels in providing fast, even heating and is particularly adept at baking and toasting. However, some users found the oven's "air fry" function disappointing, as they felt it did not perform as effectively as traditional air fryers.

Pros

  • 🔥 Heats up quickly and provides even heat distribution
  • 🔆 Possible to adjust top and bottom elements independently
  • 🧽 Comes with a pull-out drip tray for easy clean-up
  • 🍕 Exceptional for baking tasks
  • 🍳 Can replace multiple kitchen appliances

Cons

  • 😕 Difficulty in understanding and operating controls
  • 🔨 Certain design elements, such as the hooks and basket, can be problematic
  • 🛠 Accessories, such as the air fry basket, could use improvement
  • 🔬 Precision of dimensions mentioned in the product description can be off.
  • 🔥 Door glass can become very hot, potentially leading to burns

Should I Buy It?

Assuming you're mainly after an efficient countertop oven and aren't prioritizing the "air fry" feature, this product could be a good addition to your kitchen. However, bear in mind you might need a bit of time to fully understand and utilize its wide array of functions.

  • A Kitchen Staple
This is the second Nuwave I’ve bought, they are just incredibly useful. It comes with a whole cookbook of stuff you can try but really the sky’s the limit with it. Bake, broil, fry, dehydrate, roast. Whatever floats your boat you can do and in record time without turning up the heat in your whole house by using your stoves oven. Pizzas fit in it just fine, wings are made quickly, it’s really simple. Buttons and modes are easy to access and it’s audible when things are done. Plus the metallic finish on this matches most kitchen setups so it never feels out of place, every one of my family members that called it a waste ended up falling in love with it’s practicality and usability so now everyone uses it for their different needs. Great buy if you want a quality air fryer. ... show more

  • Can replace several appliances for 1-2 people.
This oven does multiple duty as a large toaster oven, a small convection oven, a broiler, and with a grill plate, a small grill. It can air fry, but is a bit big to do as well as a dedicated fryer. It preheats very fast (in only a few minutes), and is quite effective at cooking anything that fits inside. You can easily adjust the relative burner intensity and turn the convection fan off for cooking things that need heat from below. The crumb tray easily pulls out of the front, and is designed so you don’t spill the crumbs unless you are careless. As a toaster, it get very close to the quality of a pop up toaster. As a regular oven, it is at least as good as an ordinary oven. I have occasionally cooked things without turning the fan off, and I have needed to turn the heat down or reduce the cooking time, as expected of a convection oven. It is surprisingly easy to clean, as it doesn’t tend to get very dirty as long as you have a drip tray underneath and don’t cook things that spatter all over. I have had mine for almost a year, and it looks close to new. I have effectively replaced a pop up toaster, a smaller air fryer/grill, and my main oven (except for whole turkey) with this small oven. For 1-2 people, this oven can basically do almost all the cooking you need. ... show more

  • Very satisfied
I live in the deep south of the US, where it's almost a sin to light a regular oven in the summer time. As a result, I've used toaster ovens for decades. With each replacement, I buy a better one. My last one was a convection model from Oster, I believe, and I almost never used the convection and other features on it. "On" and "Off" did the trick. I replaced it with the Nuwave about a month ago. Wow!! This is so much more than a toaster oven!! I've used the air fry feature repeatedly, as well as the toaster, the oven, and the meat probe (once). At this point I'm using it almost every day. I've used it with great success for cooking and crisping frozen foods, reheating, baking, full-on roasting, and toasting. I particularly like being able to adjust the power to the upper and lower burners and any point. I recently roasted (using the air fry feature) a thin-sliced sliced potato dish and saw the top browning too soon, so I reduced the top burners down to 20% and kept the lower burners on full blast. Problem solved!! It cooked just the way I wanted it to. I also like how easily it is to target a particular temperature, to change it at will, and to otherwise have so much control over heat delivery and distribution while cooking.... and I can see it!! It's very easy to see what's going on in the oven during cooking. It's also fast. It's not microwave fast, but if that's what I need, I have a microwave. I'm very impressed and have started to prepare foods that I might normally avoid because of the required cooking time. One thing I've had to get used to is to turn it on with enough time before use to allow it to PREHEAT. So far, all of the features I've used, including toast, have a pre-heat cycle which, upon reaching the desired temperature, requires you to hit "start" to activate the feature you've selected. I'm not accustomed to having to touch the start command on an oven more than once, and if there's a way to bypass that feature I haven't figured it out yet. That said, the last few times I've used it I have anticipated the pre-heat cycle with no problem. I've found it easy to clean and to keep clean, though I neglected to clean the bottom pan once after something spilled on it. The residue carmelized and fused onto the metal surface of the bottom pan after the next use, and it was very difficult to clean. In an attempt to avoid using a strong solvent, I soaked it for over 24 hours, etc. The stains would not come off. After three days of trying different ways to clean it without chemicals, I gave up and brought out the big guns: EasyOff. It did the trick, but I still had to work pretty hard to get the metal shining like new. I now check the pan after each use, when it's easy to clean. I really like this oven and want it to last. The quality of the included broiling pan, etc., seems to be superior. I had to buy an accessories kit for the Oster, and I needed to because the cookie sheets and other items I had were meant for a standard oven and they were too big for the Oster. The Nuwave came with a very good broiler pan and pretty much everything I had to buy when I purchased the Oster, reducing the blow of paying the extra $$$ for the Nuwave when compared to other ovens. Highly recommend as long as you're comfortable reading directions and aren't intimidated by the somewhat elaborate control features. I like the resulting flexibility, but if you're a "set it and forget it" type, this oven might not be for you. Otherwise, anticipate it changing the way you cook. I'm very pleased with the purchase. ... show more

  • REALLY like this one!
Bought, with trepidation, to replace my old toaster oven that I loved. SO glad I did! Easy to use, easy to clean, looks great, and works even better. Have used it as a roaster, toaster, air-fryer, broiler, etc. Fits well on ym counter, does not give off a lot of excess heat, cook times are accurate, and a great value. ... show more

  • Great multi use oven
My family and I really love this do it all oven. We have had most of the air fryers advertised and have given them away. Just be careful cleaning the inside lines where it gets hot because you would have to buy a brand new do it all oven if it breaks. . I was told that piece is not replaceable. You can bake, broil, air fryers, roast, toast, dehydrate, etc. etc. etc. Nice to have. ... show more
