    • Sturdy overall but the brackets don't fit any crossbar unless it is flat on the bottom.

Upon opening the package, I found the bag to be sturdier and thicker than I originally thought which was a very nice surprise. The cage was easy to put together. The brackets seem designed only for cross bars that are flat on the bottom which mine aren't. This means the brackets naturally bend upon tightening. That doesn't seem right to me. The brackets also have lug nuts that stick upwards into the bag that came with the cage as a full kit. Even though they have rounded corners, they could rub against the bag regardless of the netting being over all of it. I will be using it on my trip in a couple of days and will see how it fares while in use. It worked well on my trip. I put foam on the nodules that stuck up into the bag to minimize the rubbing and that worked well. While driving, there was a bit of wind noise but it wasn’t very loud and I felt it was secure during my entire trip. I checked around the cage every time I got gas and, for the most part, the snaps stayed secure. I only had to re-secure a couple the entire time. It was pretty easy to take off when I got to the campsite and then put back together when packing to go home. I really enjoyed knowing the water proof bag was keeping all my stuff dry since it rained almost the entire drive there, everyday we were camping and only stopped for the last few hours before we left. The bag was sturdy, water proof and easy to get in to. The cage, except for the only flat attachments, was secure and solid and quieter than I expected. Size: HITCH BASKET 60" with Bag, Net & Straps
This is the first cargo hitch carrier we've bought but the second cargo bag. This whole product was a champion yesterday during our 10 hour drive to the beach. I love that the carrier itself is not super close to your vehicle. That way you can still get into your trunk. The setup and installation was super easy. They even give you a lock so nobody can steal your carrier. NICE! But yall, the best part was this bag. Not only did it fit all the luggage for 5 people with extras (I'm a female and yes I'm extra) but it seriously rained the entire 10hr drive and NOTHING was wet. And I don't mean sprinkles. It was that kind of rain where you can't even see anything in front if you except brake lights. After that annoying drive it was nice to get to our destination with no issues. We weren't so lucky a couple years ago with a roof top cargo bag. So if you're on the fence about what to buy. Stop scrolling and get this one! I installed this rack on my 2021 Rav 4. Here's my takeaway: GOOD: - Great price. Can't beat it. - Looks good - Fairly sturdy. 7.5/10 - Lightweight BAD: - There's a gap in the fore-aft bars when you install the center piece extension. This could easily be remedied for a more finished look and more rigidity. - It's loud. Very loud. At least on my 2021 Toyota RAV4. I'll only have this on when I need it, for this reason. Maybe it's quieter on other rigs. It seems to be more noisy empty and quieter with the luggage bag strapped down. - No lock washers or threadlock. If you're planning on removing this from time to time, ie only using it occasionally, go to any hardware store with one of the screws (for size referance) and buy a handful of lock washers. These a donut shaped, flat pieces of metal that are slightly offset (they look bent). This is so when you crank down on your screws or nuts, this washer will compress and help keep your screw or nut from back out on the freeway. Total cost is maybe 75 cents. If you're planning on leaving this on permanently, also buy some thread lock. This is a small red or blue tube at any auto parts or hardware store. Put a couple small drops on your screw or any threads. Use with your lock washers and these things will never come loose. Why this isn't included, I have no idea. CONCLUSION: If you want the highest end, most durable product, this ain't it. You'll be happy with it, it'll get the job done, but a few small things might bother you. If you're on a budget, don't want to spend a stupid amount of money or don't care much about little things like gaps in the cargo rack, you'll be very satisfied and it's a fantastic deal. All in all, if you expect it for what it is, a very reasonably priced rack AND waterproof bag, you'll be thrilled. BTW I can fit 2 full sized suitcases laying flat (crosswise) or 4 full sized suitcases on their side (crosswise), with the middle extension installed, without the bag. After 15 min of putting it together and putting it on the car, I realized how big it actually is. It will fit a normal sized cooler and at least three kits suitcases and two adult suitcases in the bag. The bag seems to be made of a quality material and comes with straps to tie it to the carrier once it’s packed. The qx60 with the carrier fits in most parking spaces without sticking out granted you can pull in fully without hitting a post or another vehicle. I stood on it and I’m a 200lb man. It says it will hold 500lbs. I would say I believe it. The anti rattle ubolt clamp is easy to install and makes it nice and quiet. ... show more

This is a great price for a great high quality item. It is heavy duty and made very well. This isn’t a cheaply made item. I couldn’t believe the quality for the price. It was easy to assemble and the parts are top notch. The directions are good until the end. Doesn’t provide any direction for the hitch lock and stabilizer. Which are fairly simple but would be a nice touch to have some instructions for best uses. Maybe a few extra reflectors would be nice as well. The carry bag is great. Heavy duty and well made.
