We purchased two of these 100 AH batteries through Amazon from Powermall. We were making the upgrade for our RV from AGM to LiFePo4. While one battery arrived perfectly fine, and took a charge immediately, the other one arrived bricked and stayed that way. It registered 11.7 volts but would not accept a charge nor would it discharge. We followed all the guidance in the instructions for trying to revive the battery, but nothing worked. Using the Amazon website to send a message to Powermall about our troubles with the battery, they immediately issued a return label for the battery. We sent the battery back using the return label - they then asked if wanted a refund or a replacement. We chose replacement and had a new battery in no time at all. The replacement battery took a charge and is now installed with the other battery in our RV - functioning perfectly. At no extra cost at all, just a little bit of time and a trip to the FedEx center. This rating is for Powermall more than the battery. The batteries have been in use for less than a month, but they are working exactly as expected. If there are any updates, I will post them here. Advice for purchasing LiFePO4 batteries: Upon receiving the battery, use a LiFePO4 charger (not LA charger) to charge before use. Do not put into service for a least an hour after removing from charger. If planning parallel installation, balance the battery bank for 24 hrs prior to putting into service. Watch for swelling during the first day or so after putting into service. Follow the seller's instructions if you have a problem with the battery, it was a painless experience for us.     • Light, powerful, tracking was difficult.

So far so good. Heads up, package tracking is weird, it says that the info is unavailable but they shipped through UPS and if you look up "UPS tracking" and use their site to input the 25 character tracking number you can use the prompt to track its rough location. I think the capacity is overstated, but to be fair, I am estimating. I haven't done a proper test. There could be serious losses in my setup, and not the fault of my batteies. I can tell you, the power output is about twice what lead acid group 29DC is, even if you discharge the lead acid to dead. Two batteries are about 3 and a half to 4 group 29DC lead acid batteries, fully discharged. Did I mention they were light? Like, a third the weight? I would highly recomment getting longer bolts for those who have a lot of things attached directly to the batteries. That or be prepared to drill holes in your bus bars... That being said, I will be buying at least 6 more over the course of several months. They arrived in 7 days. Nice. ... show more

    • Switching to LIPO batteries on a boat

The media could not be loaded. Well after much searching, thank god for Utube, I settled on a Weize12.8 volt-100AH battery.,https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09F2LLMY3?psc=1... , After chargingg up t he battery I installed it in the boat. direct swap, and ran it for several hours starting and stoping. It was peforming properly. Charging at 14+ volts. Got my Grand sons over and headed out for the day. As soon as I was above 2,000 rpm my GPS said it was over voltage and shut down! the voltmeter was all the way of to the right, only reads to 16 volts. Reduced speed to idle and the Voltmeter went back to 14.4 volts. I turned the GPS back on and its voltage was 13.8, same as the volt meter. I increased the RPM to 2000 and the GPS went into "over voltage mode" and shut down. The voltage was showing on its screen at 16.9. I idled back to the dock and tied up. Shut the engine off and restared it several times. No problems!!! I went home and got one of my older AGM batteries, swapped them over and went again without any issues for the rest of the day. What am I doing wrong????? The LIPO batter allows over charging, the AGM doesn't.The engine is a 2004 BF 40 Honda. 4d Reply Edited ... show more

Bought 10 of these batteries total. Eight of them charge up to 13.3 volts , and two to will get to 13.5. According to the documentation that's only 90 % charge ( 13.3v ). Charged with a dedicated li/iron charger or hooked to a renology charge controller. Going over them now out of my solar bank one by one, to record all voltages an i will match them up by voltages. ... show more

I got the 100ah. Squeaks in to a group 27 box. In terms of quality for price this is the one. A youtuber cut one open and found that they use the cells usually found in more expensive batteries. If you're considering the switch from lead acid, I think it's worth it. But there are a few differences from lead acid that you need to know. Voltage dropoff works different than lead acid, which is why there's no dropoff in power when you're using it w a trolling motor. A drop of .1v=10% total capacity for mosty of the run time. The battery BMS automatically cuts off power at 10.8v which is about 8% of total capacity. What you think you know about battery voltage from using lead acid doesn't apply here. The only advantage AGM or regular deep cycle have over lifepo4 is their ability to rebound a bit after sitting for a while. But for power and weight alone, I'd never go back. I like that it does not lend itself to catching fire, and protects itself from shorts. When connecting to inverters that have a large initial power grab, it will shut off, so you will need a lead acid battery to power the inverter first. It would be nice if there was a temporary switch on the battery, to avoid it shutting off, during initial connection to an inverter. ... show more

Just replaced my two 6 volt lead acid batteries with these LiFePo4 batteries. Almost 100# weight savings and twice the Amp hours. Those two things alone are worth the money. Weize customer support was wonderful too. I emailed them to get some specs for charging with my MPPT controller and they responded almost immediately. I'm a happy camper so far. ... show more
