  • Exceptionally Good for It's Price Point
Number of Items: 1 Style: 100Ah Battery (Group 31)
I bought two of these batteries (12V 100ah). First ordered one to test, satisfied I ordered a second. Both Received On-Time, Good Packaging. Extra terminal bolts provided each. Documentation is good, clear values for User programmed chargers. These are setup in series now to form a 24V 100ah battery pack. I opted to pay more by having two batteries rather than one 24V battery for a few reasons. As stated above, I was concerned with the quality and wanted to test one battery before doubling down for twice the expense. Second, these batteries have a battery management system which is internal to the battery. If it goes bad, chances are the battery will be useless. Having two go bad is unlikely. So I can always reconfigure my system to run from the good 12V battery. Finally, I have a lot of 12V stuff and having a pair of very good 12V batteries gives me more options. These batteries are well built, case seems generic but sturdy. Especially happy with the Terminals, they seem very firmly mounted to the case and hold connections tight. I've run several capacity checks on this, but the only full capacity test I made would be characterized as a .1C test. That is a constant discharge of 100watts, but in my case it was a refrigerator with defrost so when it did run it was about 110watts and about 330watts during the defrost cycle. I was expecting it to run about 39hours but it only made 32 hours. However, then I worked in the inverter efficiency (90%) and the vampire power used by the inverter even when it is not generating wattage. I did several different discharge tests and always got above 95% of the rated watt/hours. That is excellent considering the price point on these batteries in comparison to other similar batteries. I DO NOT recommend any PWM charger with these. I tried charging the battery with a Renogy Voyager and the pulses exceeded the max voltage causing the Battery's Management System to disconnect. Even though this Renogy charger has a LifePO4 setting. I contacted Renogy they were no help, I also contacted AmperTime and the good news is they actually responded. But I knew what the problem was and it simply was not a battery or Battery Management System issue. Needless to say I bought an MPPT charger, EPEVER Triron and it works great. But that is for another review. Couple more notes. I am shocked at how lightweight this battery is, they weigh about a third of what a typical flooded battery would. Every time I pick them up I am surprised by their lightweight. I am sure RV people will appreciate this. The max voltage I got on these batteries is 13.5V after it settles, I was expecting 14.4V. Without making this longer, don't worry about it. It is a weird charge curve and 13.5V is basically 99% charge. My discharge test confirm these batteries will perform to there approximate 100ah rating. In Summary, very happy, highly recommended and I did buy two, perhaps get more in the future. ... show more

  • Impressive
Number of Items: 1 Style: 100Ah Battery (Group 31)
I wanted something reliable. I've spent so much time learning the things I need to know, and quite a bit of money for the best components I could afford. When it came to the batteries I wanted to get what are considered by many to be the top of the line, but frankly they are a lot more than I'd hoped to spend. I just can't reason why this many years into lithium battery development it should still cost so much to get a reliable and safe battery with a quality BMS. So I read the battery reviews on Amazon, which I love and rely on but always take with a grain of salt, and then I looked to some solar forums around the net. One in particular dated back awhile and everyone seemed impressed with Ampere Time batteries, and they all seemed way more knowledgeable than myself about it. At less than half the price of the highly rated ones I decided to bite the bullet and take a chance on what might end up being a weak link in my solar system where I really should have invested heavily. My battery order shipped the day after I ordered it and it arrived about a week later across the country from California. On first impression the box was nice and strong, and upon opening the box I found the battery completely secured and cushioned with thick and dense foam inserts. The paperwork, a large 10 page color brochure on the company/product brochure/product manual/and lifetime service card, all came in a thick clear vinyl zip case that reminded me of the type that comes with a new boat. The manual is in color with lots of graphics and is nicely readable and easy to understand. Few companies these days seem to give their product this kind of attention and I was already feeling like I'd made the right decision. The battery has a nice wide soft nylon strap across the top length of it to assist in carrying, even though it isn't a very heavy battery, which also made it easy to remove the battery from the box. Both 100ah batteries I bought were in perfect condition and both were charged exactly at 81%. I've only used them for about two weeks steady so far but they have been working flawlessly on a 600w 36v array with a Victron controller. I've ran a 8000btu LG window air conditioner on it with a 2000w continuous/4000w surge inverter, and I've ran things like a large side by side refrigerator/freezer, my 1250w inverter microwave, a 1500w portable infrared stove, and a large oscillating fan (not all at the same time). The seller has reached out to me more than once to ensure I'm happy with my purchase. Five stars because I couldn't be happier and I have no downside to report. My first impressions were high enough that I ordered two more 100ah batteries, for the max total of 4 allowed in a bank, to help me expand a little. I'm a real customer of this product and I wasn't compensated in any way for this review, if you found this review helpful please click the button. ... show more

  • Great Customer Service!
Number of Items: 1 Style: 100Ah Battery (Group 31)
I ordered a 12v 100ah battery from Li Time in October of 2021 (at that time they were AmpereTime) and put it in my travel trailer. After 4 years of camping - with no problems - I noticed an issue with the battery holding a charge. I contacted Customer Service - Leah was the rep I worked with, very polite and professional - and they got back to me very quickly with a couple of suggestions. After following the directions I still thought the battery wasn’t functioning correctly. I contacted them again, and again they got right back to me with a couple of tests to perform. This too didn’t work as I expected. I have my system run through a shunt multimeter so I was able to provide photos of the batter’s state of charge in different conditions. I then contacted Customer Service again, and this time they emailed me a return label, and asked that I send the battery to them at their expense. I expected to hear from them in a week or two, but the morning after I shipped it, and they had received confirmation from the carrier it was on the way, they notified me that they had already shipped a new replacement battery! In my opinion this is a well made battery, and Li Time definitely stands behind their product. I am so impressed with their Customer Service, and rate them 5 stars! I recommend this battery to anyone who asks. ... show more

  • Forget AGM and lead acid - this is what you want to run your trolling motor
Number of Items: 1 Style: 100Ah Battery (Group 31)
First of all, it has more amp hours when compared to an AGM or lead acid of the same rating. How is that possible? Very simple: you should only run an AGM or lead acid down to 50% capacity or you will shorten its life. You can run this down to 20% without degradation. So a 100 amp/hr AGM or lead acid has 50 amp/hrs usable. This has 80 amp/hours usable. That’s a big difference! Next, at 50% capacity, both AGM and lead acid will give a noticeable drop in power of your motor. With this battery it’s about the same at 50%. And the weight. At 25 pounds this thing is no big deal to pull out of a storage well or compartment. I don’t store the battery on the boat, so this is a quite an advantage. After a season of frequent use, this battery shows no loss of capacity. It runs longer, performs better and weighs less. I only ever got 2-3 seasons out of lead acid, if this thing only accepts 1/2 of its advertised charges it will last 4-5 times longer than lead acid. ... show more

  • Value for the Money
Number of Items: 1 Style: 100Ah Battery (Group 31)
Bought this 12V 100AH lithium battery as a budget friendly option to supply dedicated clean power to my boat electronics….Garmin Chart Plotters and Livescope. So far, it provides more than a full day of power. I will continue to assess as it will receive frequent use. Added 2/29/23: used this battery frequently for almost a year. Never a problem. Keeps my electronics running all day without turning them off. I’m no longer worried about saving battery power. Recharges quickly. I could fish two days without a recharge. I love the light weight compared to flooded lead acid batteries. And maintenance free! I installed a small NOCO Genius charger dedicated to thus battery. Great pairing! I will definitely buy this again when that time comes. ... show more

  • Astrophotography/Astronomy Astrophotography/Astronomy
Number of Items: 1 Style: 100Ah Battery (Group 31)
This single battery replaced two SLA batteries and essentially doubled the capacity for a third of the weight! I am not getting any younger and lugging around over 60kg of batteries for a single weekend of remote AP/EAA just wasn't a chore I looked forward to. While my setup isn't light, at 21kg, it is much more than just the battery. The battery charger doubles as a regulated power supply for when AC is available on site and I also carry a much smaller spare battery for incidentals such as cell phones or, just in case, for a remote laptop power supply. I can power the following for over 26 hours with this single battery -1 laptop -1 scope side windows machine and power distribution box -1 portable monitor -1 cooled astronomy camera -4 dew control heater bands (main scope, guide scope, and visual scope and eyepiece) -1 robotic focuser -1 alt-az telescope mount & derotator My setup also uses a 400W inverter for remote AC power when needed. The last full cycle charge was 100.2Ah! This tells me that the AmpereTime 100Ah battery was useable through its entire available potential. My equipment needs at least 11.8 volts and this battery stayed above 12v under load for the entire 26 hours. This is something the two SLA batteries could NOT do ever. Yes, I am happy with this purchase and battery. UPDATE: After using the battery for the entire summer season (it still gets cool at night) I am very pleased with its performance. It exceeds expectation and continuously gives me at or over the full 100Ah of use above 12V. This single change to my setup has allowed new dimensions of freedom. But what I find equally compelling is the responsiveness of customer service. I had a question about battery orientation which was quickly answered giving the reason why as well. Again couldn't be happier recommending this as a power source solution for those of you who do remote astrophotography, photography, or any remote work requiring a reliable power supply... ... show more

  • Purchased two 100AH, Tested, Purchased two More. Purchased two 100AH, Tested, Purchased two More.
Number of Items: 1 Style: 100Ah Battery (Group 31)
The planned usage is to replace an aging AGM House Battery Bank. These batteries are used for power outages in my area and to provide a stable uninterruptable power supply for my Ham Radio equipment. I am able to power a Maytag Refrigerator/Freezer or a Frigidaire Deep freezer during power outages in my area. A single Ampere Time 100AH LiFePO4 with a Samlex 1000 watt inverter was able to power either unit for several hours. This 1000 Watts of AC power has given me the ability to get filtered water, ice and other items from the Refrigerator during power outages that I previously did not have without risking the loss of other refrigerated food. I have also tested a 850 Watt Hamilton Beach Bread Toaster and it ran just fine. I also have a 700 Watt 5 Cup coffee maker that makes great coffee. Kitchen blenders and a KitchenAid Mixer are some of the other normal household kitchen appliances that you can operate. The ability to operate most of the kitchen appliances lets me prepare some meals and snacks and is much better than setting in the dark wishing that the utility power would return. With four of the Ampere Time 100AH LiFePO4 batteries, I now have the option of having additional run time or adding another inverter to run another one of the large items at the same time. I already have a 600 Watt and a 300 Watt inverter for items that draw small amounts of AC power. Two Ampere Time 100AH Batteries were purchased in September of 2021 and after testing, two more were ordered. During the test of battery #4 some problems were observed. The BMS disconnected the battery cells just under 14.200VDC instead of the expected 14.6VDC. This voltage did increase a few millivolts in additional charging attempts. Additional unexpected voltage changes appeared when discharging the battery. Ampere Time responded to my request for help the next morning and after running some additional tests, a refund or replacement was offered. I chose to use the provided UPS shipping label and returned the battery. A few days later a new replacement battery arrived. The new battery #4R tested very good just like the first three batteries. My thanks to the quick response to the Ampere Time Warranty Team. I find the Ampere Time 100AH LiFePO4 battery is a good value and I think that you will also. I have provided pictures of the battery and some of the equipment that will be used with it. ... show more

  • Would Avoid This Brand
Number of Items: 1 Style: 100Ah Battery (Group 31)
Horrible support and horrible products. 5 months in, I switched the PV from a 12v setup to a 48v (39v actual) one. With the LiTime 60A charge controller still set to a battery voltage of 12v, it sent the full PV voltage to the batteries and my 3000 watt 12v Duracell inverter. The inverter (which had been running perfectly for 2 years straight) blew up. Sounded like bacon cooking and filled the entire room with smoke before it went dark and I could trip the inline fuse. This is unacceptable. I verified a couple times with a meter that it was outputting the full 39v voltage while set to 12v. That is an epic failure and could have started a fire if I wasnt home. And, while these two LiTime batteries were disconnected, they initially read 13.8v and then down to ~9.xv after some overnight drain with a new inverter. Yet they tell me the batteries are probably ok. The company only responds during the early morning hours and ignores most of what you say only to ask you for info you already provided. Over and over. 24 hour wait each time. Once I tell them I want the clearly defective controller, and most likely damaged batteries, replaced, they went dark on me (no reply for 3 days) and are apparently not replacing anything. So, their claims are a lie and their warranty is a lie. Started out so good but ended up being so much worse than all the stuff I used before. I hooked up the Ampinvt controller (that the LiTime controller replaced) and its working perfectly - with a new inverter. ... show more
