Great classroom timers, but...one was in Chinese and doesn't work

I ordered several sets of these. They were ALL great except one. The one in the picture is in Chinese and I could be okay with that, but it also doesn't work. You turn it on and it keeps going with the alarm no matter what you do. So I took the battery out and I guess I'll throw it away. :( Other than that, they are easy for my second and third graders to use and they love the colors. Hope they last!

Maybe they’re not really magnets…

Magnets not strong enough to hold up weight of timer. Have to now buy secondary magnets that cost more than timers. Updated- I also noticed that as the timers go up and reach 99 minutes they will reset to zero but will not alert you that they have reached 99.

I set up a lesson with my 4 and 5-year-olds--I taught them how to start, stop and clear the timers, had them pair up, and gave one person in each pair a timer. That person gave their partner a task (run to the swings and back) and timed them and then wrote the time on a sticky note. These timers entertained the kids for hours without fighting and prompted them to do tons of running around.

Avoid this product- they are cheap!!! They top beeping the buttons stop working 5 broke in 1 day in a matter of 3 uses. You get. A good quantity but you’ll need them cause you’ll go through all 30 in a week. Not at all reliable!
