I’ve had quite a few pits, so I feel I have a pretty good handle of LP pits. This is my weekday pit. I received this one on Wednesday, assembly on Thursday, and used Friday. I used it almost every day this week and I am LOVING this one. Assembly was fairly easy, there was a slight mistake on the instructions but made it through in roughly over a hour. Cooking surface is plenty. This pit comes with a digital thermostat that I continually forget to use, so I can’t comment on that just yet. It heats up well; evenly, which anyone who Q’s knows its pretty important. I would have liked the upper grading to be slightly wider, but works well for smaller meats like sausage and chicken breast or thighs. In all GREAT PIT. ... show more

So far this is one great grill easy to put together with detailed instructions. Very well maid solid construction everware. No rusting here . Lights fast & even heat whole grill . Then you have your 2 blaster burners man do they heat up fast for that perfect searing. The side burner is terrific . The temperature gauge is right on . So this review is really a note for the manufacturer to check their work. After unboxing, two parts were bent. The metal is so flimsy that we were able to straighten enough to put it together. Out of the four spot welds for the side burners actual burner, three were broken. So we drilled holes and riveted it. So customers, if you don’t have the ability to straighten parts, or drill and rivet, maybe think again. Because according to the description NO RETURNS. It was delivered one week ago and assembled incorrectly. They tried to offer 10% discount, but I just want it assembled correctly. Amazon promised to send someone to fix it w/in 24/48 hours, but have not heard back. The grill seems like an amazing grill but have not used it yet.

I am pretty mechanically inclined - and have assembled many BBQ grills for many decades. This Weber took me 4 hours total (alone) to assemble. I'm not sure that a second pair of hands would have been of much benefit. 30 minutes was consumed just taking this BBQ out of the box. Weber did a fantastic job of packaging, my hat is off to the guy would designed how all of this fit into a box, and was so well protected. From the packaging, I think it would require a massive drop in order to damage any parts inside. Then 3 1/2 hours to assemble. Should have been 3 hours, but I made a mistake, requiring me to backtrack so as to get the hoses in the proper place. I did not require any additional tools expect for a Phillips head screwdriver. Note: if you have an 11mm socket, this will save you a lot of time. They provide a wrench, but you can only turn 1/8 of a turn per attempt. I also truly enjoyed how every part fit perfectly. I have seen many BBQs where the workmanship was sub-par. Not this one. Caution: beware of the final element - the tray under the fire. There is one edge the is very sharp, so of course I got cut. The sharp edge is on the silver part of this tray. I did spend more for a Weber, because I was tired of flimsy units. I have not fired this up yet, and intend to update this post in a few months. ... show more
