It works just as intended. A product with these features, not to mention the speed/reliability, easily $100. I’ve only used it on 2 different ones (2 different places, same connection “xfinitywifi”) but never once interrupted & speeds were great! Had a bit of trouble getting the Xfinity login page to come up on my desktop (HP All-In-One) but once I connected to phone (like, as soon as I typed in the password I had created for the new Wi-Fi name, it connected to the phone & computer what seemed simultaneously. You may have some trouble logging in to router (in order to do things like Port Forwarding for an Xbox because there are absolutely no settings for that, but once you’ve been brought to the screen that says you’re attempting to log in to your router settings from the wrong source, click the “click here” button at the bottom of the page & make sure you’re connecting from the actual router/modem Wi-Fi Gateway SSID (Router Gateway IP) which will be 192.168.10.1 after you’ve successfully connected. You may, however, need a much longer Ethernet cord if you keep your router &/or modem in a bedroom. The directions even tell you to have them seperated but you can’t use it to hardline more than one other device if you don’t without a longer Ethernet cord. Still 5 stars.

This is not worth your money. I agree with other reviews that said this router does not connect. I switched from d-link to this junk. I connected the router to my modem and my laptop with ethernet cables. I have comcast cable internet. After accessing the router's address. (Wifiwavelink.com or 192.168.10.1) I attempted a dynamic connection. The router failed to connect. I tried static ip connection entering the ip address, subnet and default gateway. Still no success. Next I tried unplugging the modem and router to restart. Still failed. Then I attempted to reset the router by accessing advanced settings in the router's address. Restart and reboot options did nothing. So I tried to restart the router manually by poking the little reset hole in the router. Still failed. I did a diagnostic on my computer to find out why the router would not connect. The report was the DNS server could not be located to connect. I even tried the WISP connect option to no avail. After exhausting all options I tried contacting my ISP (internet service provider). Even they failed to identify the problem. After all that I tried connecting my modem to my computer without the router. There was internet connection. I switched back to my old router. There was internet connection. Therefore this confirms this router is junk and cannot connect. It's not worth the hassle or your time. Just get a reliable brand-name router. This router is junk made in China that will waste your time and cause unecessary stress in your life while you feel like an idiot trying to figure out why this router refuses to connect to the internet.

I currently have Xfinity internet in my home. I get about 120Mbs, but unfortunately, they have a 1.2 TB data cap. With our family doing more streaming and gaming, we have hit close to this cap or occasionally gone over it. We also have an xfinity public wifi hotspot available near us, but receive a good signal for it in only 2 bedrooms on the east end of the house. I was looking to try and tap into this public wifi hotspot & then extend it to the rest of the house. Mainly use it for our PS4 and Xbox game consoles since they tend to be the data hogs. This helped solve the problem. I put this in an east end bedroom window and into repeater mode. Was able to pick up the Xfinity public wifi. I then used one of its LAN ports to connect to a TrendNet Powerline kit & a nearby outlet. I then installed the other powerline adapter near the xbox/PS4 at the west side of the house. While I am pulling in about 20-25Mbs at this repeater, I then get about 10-15Mbs at the Xbox/PS4. This is good enough for streaming and downloading large game updates. All works good and I'm not having to pay Comcast for an unlimited data internet plan. Also, when tapping into the Xfinity public hotspot with this device, be sure to choose the one with no security. It will then open your browser window and take you to the Xfinity login page. This is where I then entered my Xfinity account/password. I was then connected and all worked good. If you initially choose the Xfinity wifi hotspot with security, it won't work as it will need a username/password too soon & right away within the Wavlink configuration. Instead, you need the captive portal area through a browser in order to fully connect. This also worked better for me than some previous devices. I had tried some travel routers and while they worked, the speeds were VERY poor. I was lucky to get 5Mbs. With this, i'm pulling in 20-25Mbs and I think its due to its larger antennas. The previous travel routers I tried had ZERO antennas. Yea, I'm not getting the full 120Mbs connection like my home internet, but the 15-20Mbs speed is good enough for my certain needs of downloading game updates (sometimes as large as 100GB)
