The media could not be loaded. This thing definitely earns the name "Dream Machine". I have been in IT for a while now and have never had a more pleasant, easy, or trouble free experience getting a network appliance configured and up and running than this device. It was truly a surprising and refreshing experience. Finding some of the stuff in the UI can take a bit of searching, but once done it's easy. This thing is powerful and does way more than I bargained for. It has a built in IPS (off by default, comes on with the simple toggle of a setting) with geo blocking capabilities (goodbye Russia and China), unifi WAP support, easy to use and powerful app, and support for both client and server VPN capabilities (and you can run both at the same time). This thing has the same capabilities and features of routers from other brands that cost thousands more, and then some. It's definitely a bargain and a half at this price. It's responsive, I've had no lag, and it's really quiet compared to my other switch. I now see why pretty much every IT colleague I've spoken with that has used unifi swears by them and loves them. I think I've become a fan for life and am going to investigate some of their other devices like WAPs. The noise you hear in the video is my server. You can't hear the UniFi! ... show more

You have to know this is a pro device and not a regular home router. If you know how to do it you can get a powerful toy at Home to protect your family against the internet threat actors. Beautiful design. Zero noise it’s a fanless device. Speed up to 10g for uplinks.

I never knew it was so precise, easy to use, deep to learn, and totally modifiable. Took the plunge to Unifi Router, Switch, POE Cameras, and MESH AP with a AP U6-LR. Talk about control!!!.     • Solved my issues
I've worked from home for a couple of decades, and the network over time became a mess. As I need to test (even stress test) applications and devices under various situations, I was managing two sometimes three networks while trying to keep the rest of the household happy. I've gone full Ubiquiti starting with the UDM Pro, redid all cabling, and now I can set up and tear down network configurations at will based upon my testing scenario needs. The entire network is faster, much easier to manage, and greatly simplified. The only complaint I have is the lack of PoE ports on the UDM Pro, but I simply used another switch for that. ... show more
