  • Insanely fast and rock solid — the U7 Pro best access point yet
Size: 1.8"
Insanely fast and rock solid — the U7-Pro is Ubiquiti’s best access point yet What I Liked Super easy setup — literally plug in PoE, open UniFi app, done. Speeds are crazy fast (even on WiFi 6 devices). Signal stays strong across my whole house and yard. Looks clean — no ugly antennas sticking out. Plays perfectly with my Dream Machine and UniFi Protect setup. Controller app is still one of the best out there for network monitoring. What Could Be Better You *need* a UniFi controller or Dream Machine — not a standalone router. WiFi 7 features are still ahead of most current devices, so you won’t max it out yet. Slightly pricier than the U6-Pro, but not by much. Mounting plate feels a bit basic for the price (minor gripe). Setup & Experience Setup took maybe 10 minutes tops. Plug it in, adopt it in the UniFi app, update firmware, and it’s live. The controller walked me through channel selection and optimization — couldn’t be easier. Build quality is excellent as always — solid, sleek, and blends into the ceiling nicely. Performance The U7-Pro absolutely flies. My WiFi 6 laptop was pulling **1.4 Gbps** a few feet away. Still hitting **700 Mbps** through a couple of walls. Latency under **5 ms** across the network. Roaming between APs is seamless — you don’t even notice it. Even though I don’t have WiFi 7 devices yet, the overall throughput and stability are clearly better than my old U6-Pro. Features The UniFi controller keeps getting better — full visibility of devices, signal strength, and client history. You can set up VLANs, guest networks, and bandwidth limits with a few clicks. Bonus: it automatically picks the best channels to reduce interference. Value At around $200, it’s not cheap, but you’re paying for **enterprise-level gear** that just works. If you’re already in the UniFi ecosystem, it’s a no-brainer upgrade. For normal users it’s probably overkill, but if you’re into networking or run a small business, this thing is a beast. Bottom Line The **U7-Pro** is fast, quiet, reliable, and future-proof. Not a toy, but definitely worth it if you care about your network running perfectly. ... show more

  • Top-tier WiFi 7 access point for UniFi networks
Size: 1.8"
The Ubiquiti UniFi 7 Pro access point is an absolute beast when it comes to wireless performance. WiFi 7 support means blazing fast speeds and incredibly low latency, which is a noticeable upgrade from my previous WiFi 6 setup. The build quality is premium and the device looks sleek mounted on the ceiling. Integration with the UniFi Network application is seamless, and the management interface gives you granular control over every aspect of your wireless network. I've been running this in my home network alongside other UniFi equipment and the performance has been rock solid with zero dropouts. The range is excellent, easily covering my entire home with strong signal. If you're building or upgrading a UniFi network, the U7 Pro is the access point to get. ... show more

  • Big improvement! Big improvement!
Size: 1.8"
I upgraded to these from a pair of UAP-AC-PROs. The construction has improved dramatically with the base of the unit now being metal instead of plastic., the inclusion of a fingerprint shield for istallation is a nice touch, the metal mount makes the AP not as snug to the ceiling while providing a secure fit, allowing the cable to not kink as much. The kit also includes an mounting key (flat L shaped piece of metal) which is a godsend of a tool i wish they would have included years ago. the light is nice and bright and it has that same clean look that is all too familiar but overall improved. If you know what you're doing, this would be an epic upgrade for your home. Having more than one in your home will enable better optimization too as it will utilize both APs to find the best channels. once set up properly and optimized this improved my stability substantially and it increased my wifi speeds by a factor of 9x. I was even getting a solid connection at the neighbors house! Paired with the server software These also offer really nice security functions such as packet capture and better insight to device troubles, and advanced rogue AP protection and even a free, very functional guest portal for guests that allows use of vouchers instead of handing out passwords. Finally, this equipment did not require a huge upgrade of core equipment, as my existing switches were able to easily power these switches over poe+ with poe real estate to spare. Just keep in mind if you're buying these for the first time they don't come with the injectors, and they need poe+ so the older poe injectors won't work on them. Take care in acquiring these. The cons: These do run a bit warm, even with an internal fan. I recommend using the metal mount over existing plastic as it improves air flow and keeps that heat off the sheet rock and helps dissipate it. The fan... these units are not serviceable without voiding warranty. If the fan starts buzzing or goes out, better hope warranty covers it! A serviceable fan would be nice in the future. The finish: i love the look of these, but they will attract grease and dirt if mounted in the kitchen and the finish is similar.to the old ones and I found them hard to clean. The price: the price on the APs ubiquiti offershas spiked substantially, but keep in mind their quality has also spiked too. Overall I love these products and they are a powerful upgrade if you can fork out the price. Been using ubiquiti for many years now and as long as you configure and install these properly you really can't go wrong with them! ... show more

  • Easy Install and Great Performance
Size: 1.8"
I replaced a ceiling mounted U6-LR access point with the U7 Pro. It was as simple as I had hoped and expected since they use the same back mounting plate. It’s just snap off the old and snap on the new. The performance is great with a major speed kick on WiFi 7 devices like my 16 Pro iPhone.

  • Unmatched performance and coverage from a single access point
Size: 1.8"
The UniFi 7 Pro has completely leveled up my home network. I’m covering a two thousand square foot house, including the second floor, with no dead spots and no need for additional access points. Speeds are fast and stable no matter where I am. This is classic Ubiquiti quality. Rock solid once set up, with deep customization if you want to dive in. One quick tip for anyone running smart home devices. Segment your IOT gear. A lot of those older devices do not play well with newer WiFi standards. I created a dedicated two point four gigahertz WPA2 SSID for them and they have been solid ever since. If you want powerful coverage with pro-grade controls and minimal hardware, this is the one. ... show more

  • Good enough but not best bang for your buck, unless.....
Size: 1.8"
Is a decent option but it could be much better. As others have mentioned and you can search on the internet, the unit gets hot quick....smaller than what I expected. The signal is very strong. The price is also decent but you can get a 10 Gbps ethernet port for an extra $10, so is a better investment. I would have liked for these units to come with another 10 Gbps port so that you can use it as a small switch. Also, the fact that is only POE makes you either buy an injector or buy a POE switch which at 2.5 Gbps or above are pricey. They can interface extremely well and easy, literally plug and play as long as you have pre-programmed the networks and wireless SSIDs beforehand. I cannot do a five start due to the lack of extra port, power port (adapter), and how hot it gets. Lastly, the speed is decent not excellent compared to other consumer units such as ASUS or TP-Link that gives you faster speeds for the same specs. However, if you have a large network with hundred of devices, you cannot use those because even though they claim to be capable of managing it, they CAN'T! So I would only recommend if your controller or router is a Ubiquiti unit, your wiring is inferior to cat5e or less, and your you want to save $10. ... show more

  • Great Product, with some upfront effort Great Product, with some upfront effort
Size: 1.8"
This AP really benefits from being managed with a Unifi Controller, so you'll either have to set up some form of that, or buy one of the unifi products with this capability. That option requires a good bit of research, at least for me, as they have a somewhat bewildering array of products. Fortunately, another option is to download and run the Unifi Controller software yourself. This worked fine for me to get the unit up and running, and you don't have to run it full time. For a more complicated or device-management focused setup, you might want to run it on a dedicated box, but my needs are not complex. Note that you'll also need to provide POE to power the AP - not a big deal, but you'll either need a router with POE ports (not sure if that exists), a one-off POE injector, or a POE switch. I should add that there is an avenue to run this standalone, that is with no controller, but I felt that this would be constraining in the long run. Some reconfiguration of the device is also required to accomplish this. So, the product is really great, but be advised that you'll have to put in some effort to sort out what you need to get this running unless you already have a Unifi setup. Once up and running, the performance and reliability is crazy good. I have wifi from this thing at the boundaries of a 3 acre property. ... show more
