  • Great switch!
I've used both Unifi and Edgeswitches from Ubiquiti and love them both. Easy to setup and haven't had any issues once configured. To the one reviewer about having to buy a Unifi Controller... You don't have to purchase the controller. You can download the software and install it on any Windows or Linux PC for free. I run mine on a Windows PC and manage my access points and switches from it. ... show more

  • Beware of this seller
We use Ubiquiti network equipment and it works flawlessly; however, the switch purchased from this vendor was defective and the seller charged 50% to return. Ubiquiti is great but the reseller should be avoided.

  • Almost perfect
This is a good switch...I had a 16 port for almost 7 years and the power supply went on it so I had to buy another one. This was almost a drop in replacement, but the 24v POE was removed which means all my Ubiquiti cameras that were connected now needed an adaptor. That's the only reason this is 4 starts. ... show more

  • 4 Stars because I was unaware of additional equipment needed
I bought this network switch because I’ve heard rave reviews of ubiquities network equipment. I hate buying products twice. I needed a switch that would support VLAN’s functionality with the DHCP repeater capability. I wanted different VLANS on differing subnets. My old TP-Link hardware version 1 was not capable of this and there was no firmware upgrade to support. After much research and internal debate on cost. I figured my best bet was the UniFi switch. I felt somewhat confident I wasn’t going to have surprise like finding a much cheaper alternative network switch only to find out I’m stuck with it and it doesn’t seem to work for my current intended network setup. BUUUTTT, I’m a bit disappointed to find I need to buy UniFi controller to setup and manage the UniFi switch and UniFi access points I purchased. I’m sure in the long run I’ll be pleasantly surprised and well pleased. But I don’t recall any mention of needing to purchase the UniFi controller like a Dream Machine or UniFi key gen 2. Which is additional hardware expense. For that I’m give this 4 stars. I’ll have to come back and update my review once I’ve bought the controller. ... show more

  • Only 95W total POE power and no warranty
This listing is misleading because it doesn't mention that it doesn't have 24v poe, and only 95W total power. That means you could only run 7 U6-Pro access points on this and you'd be maxing out the poe power. It also has NO warranty because none of the sellers here are official ubiquiti resellers.
