For those who aren't familiar, this means you can subscribe to a VPN service, integrate it directly into this router, and instantly add a robust layer of protection for yourself, your family, and your entire network from prying eyes or those who might try to pinpoint your physical location via your IP address. Now, let's talk about something that might give some folks pause: this router gets H O T. It doesn't have an internal fan, but honestly, don't let that worry you. I've been using this product for several months now, and there hasn't been any damage or performance compromise whatsoever. It runs remarkably quietly, and the small LED screen on the front provides clear, real-time insights into network traffic, which is a nice touch. I also appreciate the consistent flow of updates from Ubiquiti; it's reassuring to know they're actively working to patch vulnerabilities and enhance security.     • Intermittent Packet Loss, disconnects
Pros: Easy setup. I'm using SFP+, so it's plug in, turn on, and away it goes. When it's working, it's fine. I wish it worked without dropping packets like mad. Cons: Persistent connections get dropped every hour or so. When I switch back to my old router, no disconnects. Switch back to this one, disconnects. Same SFP+ module, same cable. If we didn't have a lot of gamers in the house, it might not matter. We do, however, and it's very annoying. ... show more

Had a little trepidation from the reviews. But it was unwarranted package came, and a reasonable amount of time satisfied with purchase even with the markup because these things were hard to find.
