    • easy install huge difference
The main reason I bought the waterdrop filtration system was for the ease of changing the water filter. My last system made it so difficult to change the reverse osmossis membrane and it was so incredibly messy. I have had the waterdrop system for over 2 years, and it is incredibly easy. The system starts to beep when it is time to change the filter, to confirm that there is a need for a change. I check with my TDS meter. After which I I take off the cover and with a pull of the lever, the old filter comes off and I can slide in the new filter. It is so easy, no mess and usually the filter lasts 1 years, maybe a little longer because I have a whole house filter as well. The water that comes from this system, is amazing! My tap water juggles between a strange thiol smell or acetone smell. But since installing this waterdrop system and the whole house filter. It has been night and day. The water has no smell, no strange taste, and is perfect. When running the TDS meter on the new filter the reading is 25. Comparing that to the 250 that it was reading before installing the filter that is an insane difference. This filtration system is 100% worth the money, and so convient. ... show more

    • Easy install, great tasting and quality water.
I was skeptical as there were no systems with all 5 star reviews (there rarely is). But this system was super easy to install and came with everything required. All you need is an outlet under your sink. Everything works as expected and our water TDS reads 2-3 consistantly. I also have 2 water testers and both had the exact same reading for TDS. I am amazed. The taste of the water is definitely something you can realize compared to straight tap water. I only wish the remineralization add-on filter could be in the unit. Maybe in replace of one of the carbon filters. But it is what it is. I order the small water pressure tank and plan to run a line to my fridge ice maker and water dispenser. The noise is not something most people will have an issue with. Its barely noticable and unlike other reviews, I can definitely not hear it run from outside the kitchen. Overall, I can say that I'm inpressed and I couldn't imagine anyone being disappointed with this unit. That is why I wanted to take the time to give this product a review. I'm glad I did my research and selected this unit. I hope it will work this good for years to come. If something changes I will update this review. ... show more

    • Almost perfect; faucet and unit TDS are unfortunately the same, and it's a little noisy
We went from a simple RO system -- no power required, operates on water pressure only -- to this unit because we were filling up humidifiers, and we were tired of waiting for the tank to refill. I really like this unit because the filter changes are super easy, and the water pressure doesn't drop off after repeated use. TDS readings independently taken before the (optional) mineral cartridge were 10-15 off from the reading displayed on the unit, but this filter is still reducing TDS from our awful city water by 90% or more, and that's an acceptable margin of error for my purposes. (TDS readings in moving water will fluctuate and be less accurate than a still measurement.) One of the things I do not like about this filter is that the TDS reading on the unit itself and the faucet are the same; the faucet display is basically just a mirror of the display on the front of the unit. (There's no diagnostic tech in the faucet itself.) It would be more useful if the faucet had its own separate TDS reading, as I would like to be able to monitor the difference between the RO membrane itself and the post-RO mineral cartridge. (I do occasionally check with a standalone meter, but having one built-in to the faucet would be even better.) The other thing I don't like is that the unit is a little noisy. We have ours under the cabinet -- not touching any cabinet walls -- and we can definitely hear it across the room when it kicks on to flush itself. It's also slightly audible in the bedroom below the kitchen. The hard rubber feet do not really help dampen the vibrations, though I was able to reduce the sound by elevating the unit on some thick felt pads. Overall this is definitely an upgrade over the last unit -- especially for ease of filter changes and endless water (when the power is on), but it's not quite a 5-star product. ... show more

    • Great tasting water and fairly easy install
I spent a good amount looking for a tankless RO system that I would be able to install myself. The feature that tipped this unit over the edge was the built in TDS sensors - that's a cool feature! However, I also wanted to validate the numbers so I also purchased a handhold tester to validate the numbers. I can say that this did indeed reduce the TDS from around ~140 to 13-16 - so overall very happy with that performance. Taste is decent (I don't have the reminerization filter) but somewhat flat - I think this is normal for RO systems.
