  • Just buy it!

I love my Waterdrop! Never before have I used a filter that worked so quickly and effortlessly. The large size is also a big plus. We were staying with friends who had a small Brita and we could only get a glass and a half of water from it at a time and it seemed to take forever to filter - even a larger one wouldn't have helped all that much because it too so long. That's not a problem with the Waterdrop filter. I originally bought it when my fridge's filtered water system was on the fritz but we've continued to use the Waterdrop to filter water for making coffee and tea, and to have some extra filtered water on hand when we have guests over. The filters are as expensive as the unit itself but still not as expensive as the filter for my refrigerated water dispenser so I think it's well worth it. I want to always have one of these on hand! ... show more

  • Good Looks, Good Water, Decent Long-Term Value
Color: Azure Style: Classic
I like this pitcher alot. The quality of life features, such as the spring-loaded water filler door, make it much more premium feeling than something like my older Brita. According to some filtration tests on YouTube, this filter is on par, if not better than a Brita, but it won't filter out things that some folks may be worried about; lead is the big one. That being said, the water tastes great and it fills up EXTREMELY quickly. Its great for my room at university. I don't particularly like that the filters are nearly as expensive as a whole pitcher, but if they filter out 200 gallons as claimed, the price per gallon is comparable or less than Brita. Overall, I would definitely buy again. ... show more

  • Provides great tasting and filtered water note the P65 warning.
Color: Azure Style: Classic
To start this product has a P65 (Cancer and reproductive harm) warning which surprised me upon delivery. The warning can be found in the Q and A section of the product on Amazon, and on the box of the product itself. With that said, I did my research into P65, or proposition 65. The take away I get is that the P65 warning labels were noted for things like belts, other plastics, to even Starbucks coffee cups in California. The Q and A notes that while the merchants could have had a certification done to prove 100% that the product isn't a hazard, this would have made the item more expensive, which is understandable. So I docked 1 star for the warning not being noted in the product's description. Do your research if you're still concerned. On to the review, the pitcher functions wonderfully. For starters, you have to soak the filter for 10 minutes, so it function to the best extent. Once this is done, the filter fits easily into the picture, and is capable of quickly filtering water. The taste of the water is excellent, and I feel this cleans the water significantly more than my Brita filter, which I had since 2018. The filter is designed differently from Brita allowing the water to be filtered on two sides. It doesn't take long for water to go through. I did my research online, and this was the best filter I came across comparing it to other filters like Brita and Zerowater which the latter according to my research, needs a filter changed every two weeks. Overall, an excellent buy, and I would recommend this product. ... show more

  • The only problem I had was registering the product.
Color: Azure Style: Classic
This review is for the Waterdrop WD-PT-07B. The pitcher is an attractive baby blue. The photo to my eyes looked a bit more aqua blue. It is semi-transparent but not enough to really see through the top. The materials feel good. The size of the pitcher is much bigger than my OXO alkaline water pitcher, which was too small for my taste but it's fine. This jug holds enough water to last me about 2 days before refilling, OR I just refill it each time I take it out. It also comes with a little timer button to let you know when it's time to change filters - I assume it will base it on time like 3 months from now? There is a nifty little spring port at the top so you won't have to remove and replace the lid of this pitcher each time you fill it up. You can set the jug in the sink and turn the water on. The spring hinged top port is big enough not to cause issue: roughtly 2" by 1.5". The spring is loose enough that the pressure from your spicket should keep the aperture depressed while it fills, you still have to turn your water off if you don't want it to overflow. (Someone probably wouldn't figure that out if I do not tell them.) I truly enjoy this novel idea BUT if the spring fails it might be more of a problem than a solution - good idea nevertheless. I was sold on this pitcher because of the 7 sediment filtration system and the partial filtering of fluoride, something Brita filters do not claim to do that this one CLAIMS to do. I haven't done any scientific research to see if it does it's job at all because unless you take your water to a specialist, none of the test on Amazon seem to be legit testers. The technology of this filter is generally what is found in higher priced systems, be it at a much smaller degree. I done a blind taste test with my mom and she knew right away which was filtered and which wasn't. I used the same style glass, same water level, same temperature. She didn't have to do a repeat, she pointed right away the correct choice. She said easy decision. Her taste buds are better than mine but I agreed with her that I thought I could tell a difference too. The city water had a chemical aftertaste to me, this one I couldn't get much aftertaste at all. So, as far as flavor it is filtering out something because the taste is better than bottled water IMO. The only negatives I see with this filter are: The filter a lot of times does get very slow filtering - almost coming to a complete hault. I try to leave the pitcher out until it is finished. It seems to have a tougher time filtering cold water than room temp water. This could be a good thing as it is slowing the water down to a standstill, therefore in my imagination I am assuming it must be cleaning it. It is good it has 2 drains, as often one gets jammed but the other continues flowing water through. I haven't had a filter take more than 5 minutes but it may slow down with age? The great idea of the spring could be a cause of concern if it stopped springing back up. I genuinely applaud the effort and I hope it holds up. If it holds up this is one of the best ideas ever. Very useful concept and so far works flawlessly. I would advise not to play with it too much and don't let your kids break it. The registration was a pain. Their website does not list this model. So expect to have to speak with the customer service and correspond through your email address. The rep said this has been a problem they are trying to fix. Mia was very kind even though I was getting impatient. I spent 4 days trying to register this. In the end, I tried to put in Pitcher Filtration System and then all straightforward information since the model number is not listed. The website would not accept Pitcher Filtration System - it flagged it. So I had to send Mia a screenshot and she said she got my information in. This took 4 days and I'll spare you the back and forth. I hope you know what to do if you buy this filter. On a good note, the registration gives 2 year warranty and a free filter. So it was a nice addition that kind of backfired. But since Mia was so polite and kind, I cannot fault the pitcher for this and anyone looking for a good pitcher should realize this seems like an excellent bargain for an excellent product. I don't want to confuse people with lower ratings simply based on a failed attempt to provide excellent customer service that intertwined with it a simple human error. Thank you Waterdrop! I like this filter and appreciate the free filter (if I get it). I wasn't expecting one so if I get it, a great gift! ... show more

Did some research on the filtering performance of various pitchers and this one seemed like a great overall pick for reducing PFAS, etc. while leaving some minerals for good-tasting water. Pros: - it filters very fast, you won't be waiting around forever for some water to drink - nice light and clean design, the seal is very good - do your own research, but this one looked like it had a great overall filter performance Con: - there is a design issue with the flap clearance on the lid and it gets stuck in the open position if pushed in too far. you can avoid this by making sure it doesn't open too far, but it's a small annoyance. ... show more
