  • This bypass kit fits the large 1" control valve ONLY. This will NOT fit the smaller, standard sized water softeners.
  • The male threads on the adapters are 1".
  • The center to center measurement of the inlet from the bypass to the softener is 3-3/4" - If your center to center measurement is less, you need the smaller bypass and this will not work for you.
  • If the top of your valve has 8 screws around the edges holding it onto the main valve body, this will work for you. If it only has 5 screws, it will NOT fit your softener. Please see images for clarification.

Tried several Oring kits prior with no success. Still had a good drip each time. This assembly got it handled for good. No more leaks. *note mine dripped ever so slightly a few days after the install but settled nicely and my garage is as dry as my humor now. Advice if you have the bigger head hi flow head and it’s dripping save the headache and go for this assembly first! ... show more

    • Should have included in the instruction the need for grease to push the O-rings in.
The most important thing needed is missing as a option to buy on included in the kit. Silicone grease. Without it installing will be a nightmare and frustration.

It didn't come with the o-rings and they are in the description and picture of the product. How do we get the o-rings sent to us? Had to use old ones.
