This pen is exactly what I was hoping it would be. It keeps my Chickens, Ducks, & Turkey secure & happy. We hooked it up to our existing coop & caging and made a giant extension and built a half wall with a door in the middle of it so we could separate the chickens from the ducks. It's easy to put up, only took as an evening and you can get very creative with your set up but I do suggest buying another pack of zip ties. It's large enough that I get in there with my flock every single day and clean/ feed/ spend time with them and it's very comfortable and impressive. I've had this set up for well over a month and I am planning to buy at least one more, maybe two because I have a large flock and this cage keeps them all happy and gives them plenty of room to live & grow. It's bigger than it looks on the picture so you can fit a LOT of chickens in it. You could also use it for other farm animals & pets too. I was initially worried about the fencing quality but it has surpassed my expectations and has kept predators out, it's much stronger than you would expect. This was horrible, did not hold up in the snow said it had a warranty but they would not honor it , I'm a single mother and saved for six months to buy this ! Killed a bunch of my birds.

I was letting the girls have the run of my backyard, but the Harris hawks were getting too interested in them. I had the coop and a small 7’x3’ run, but it’s really not enough room for healthy hens. So, I started looking for a solution and came across this. Honestly, I’m thrilled with it. I was a bit concerned when the chicken wire arrived and nothing else, but the seller assured me the rest was coming. It arrived the next day. So, if you’re buying this, be aware this will come in two shipments. When I saw the roll of chicken wire, I was a bit worried it wouldn’t be enough to do the whole thing, but it is way more than enough. I cut longer pieces to lay on the ground outside the run’s perimeter as part of predator barrier, and still have quite a bit of chicken wire left. As other reviewers mentioned, you will need more zip ties. They send about 100 with it, but I used more than 500 to make it secure (an additional $20 at Lowe’s or Home Depot). You can see in the pic how many I used (I haven’t cut the excess tails off yet in this photo or cleaned up the inside yet). I also attached the coop and smaller run to it for more room. Regardless, this was super easy to put together. All the poles/pieces are numbered and snap into place. The instructions don’t have much text, mainly images, but it’s easy to follow. It took us (2 people) about 3 hours to put together from start to finish. Overall, I love it. The girls seem happy. I just need to get some more roosts for them and remove the bricks that used to be part of the old predator guard on the smaller coop and run. ... show more

Pros- easy to assemble, did it by myself (my 50 year old 5'3 self), wire amount that was included was generous- plenty of extra. Cons- this is the 2nd one of these I have put together, this one was a little more flimsy, some of the connectors were bent, and the joint were loose. And as always- buy heavy duty 8 inch zip ties- the ones that are included aren't any good. I did secure the structure with t posts on all 4 sides. ... show more

The metal frame itself, is very easy to assemble - even with the terrible directions included. It’s fairly straightforward and self-explanatory - the base and an Apex roof all clicks together...1,2,3. The chicken wire is another story! We started with the door - I thought getting the chicken wire on the door before actually hanging the door was the way to go and...I was right! I can’t imagine how we were going to do that once it was already up on the hinges. Then we just took the role and tossed it up over the roof - from the ground on one side to the other. We repeated thIs 6 times (up and over) and zip tied the bits that overlapped at the seams. Then we added horizontal panels ↔️ across the front and back of the enclosure. There was an excess of chicken wire - so we left it a little long and wrapped it under the bottom poles of the frame. The little spindles of cut chicken wire were easy enough to twist-tie through & we did not need to use zip ties along the bottom of the frame. We did not use zip ties on the door either. We just cut an access of a couple of inches around all four sides of the door and wrapped it like a Christmas present, using the spindles of the chicken wire to twist-tie Before putting the chicken wiring on, it seemed shaky and flimsy - but, after getting it all done, it really seemed to strengthen up the integrity of the entire coop. It’s definitely movable with two people and we invested in a longer, more heavy duty tarp than the one that came with the kit. I normally allow my chickens to free range but it was becoming an issue once they started venturing into the neighbors yards. I’m hoping that after a couple of weeks in the coop I can start allowing them out again and that they’ll understand they need to stay close to home base. Not a bad coop for the price had bought 2 other smaller units to use as coops but kept blowing over during high winds this has withstood the winds keeping our ducks safe I will mention that the instructions towards the end get lazy and you have to figure out how to build the gate through trial and error and on top of that I didn't like how they did the fencing for the walls and roof so I blazed my own trail and cut into strips and went from bottom of coop up and over to the other bottom turned out well and still had leftover material also built two small A frame buildings to give them more shade and shelter from rain ... show more
