While the technology and programming of the flame is similar to the others, the post material is very different! After less than 1 week, the post which is made of a much softer plastic than the others, melted and bent over! Had these a week. Live in Southern CA and at the first heat wave where temps were about 100, the plastic poles melted and got soft and the whole thing started leaning. Shocked at how cheap these were. The light itself works great but the plastic pole is very poor quality.

The media could not be loaded. Originally, I was pleased with these lights, however one stopped working and I noticed that the other three are not as bright as the other brands that I purchased. I wrote to the company and they agreed to send me a replacement for the one not working. I will update again if they follow through. Update: After a bit of back and forth emails, the company sent me a replacement of two. Another light went kaput so now I have 4 working lights. ... show more

These are really nice for about 2 weeks. Then they starts to bend, even if there is no wind. The stakes are very thin plastic and truly not made for longevity. I am currently retrofitting mine with a thicker PVC but for this price, I shouldn't have to do that. Be very careful putting them in the ground as the stakes are not thick and will bend and break if you put a lot of pressure on them. ... show more

    • Good long lasting light, but cheaper plastic poles/stakes.
These lights are just what I was looking for. They come on at dusk and provide a warm torch light across my backyard. They don’t light up the backyard, however, they provide a warm light just like a torch would. We don’t use them for lighting. We use them for ambiance. I am very pleased with this purchase. My neighbors absolutely love them as well. Most times they are still on till about three to four a.m. . My only disappointment is the material that the stake that they stand on is made from. Plastic. Not stronger plastic like a pvc pipe for irrigation, but plastic like a plastic clothes hanger plastic. in warm to hot sun the plastic becomes somewhat flexible and the steak and pole that the lights stand on can bend and lean. These were a good price and I understand aluminum stakes and poles would be a more expensive product. If the stakes and poles were tougher and more rigid, would have been 5 stars. ... show more

The light heads work but the poor quality of the poles is thin and cant take the suns heat , they all split and fell over. Other reviews indicate this also, BUYER BEWARE they will split and fall over.

The media could not be loaded. These look like real flame torches. They get lots of compliments. I wanted taller ones than what they sell so I took the tops off my old fuel tiki torches and glued the tops of these in place so they are at about 5 feet tall now. I’ve also given them as gifts, everyone loves them. I placed 2 in an area of the yard that only gets indirect light during the day and these even work at night. Maybe during the winter those two won’t light as well, I don’t know, but so far summer use is great for all of them! ... show more
