I’m not a pro groomer, but these Wahl Professional Animal KMC+ 2-Speed Cordless Clippers made grooming my goldendoodle manageable. They cut through his thick curly coat like butter. The motor stays powerful even in denser areas, and the cordless run time (around 2 hours) is plenty for a full grooming session. Wahl quality is exactly what I expected. What I liked: • Cordless or corded use, so you’re never stuck mid-groom. • Solid grip and well-balanced feel. • High-quality blades (#10 Ultimate/Competition) that stay sharp and cut clean. What I didn’t love: • Pricey compared to some other clippers, but the performance justifies it. Takes some getting use to but once you figure out the angles and the rhythm these are amazing clippers!!!! They cut like butter through mats even on the lowest setting. The cordless is a must with cats especially. They have made my life a lot easier!!! The last pair of clippers I had for over 15 years they were a corded basic wahl. This is quite the upgrade…. As long as I have them I figured it would be worth it to just get a high quality cordless pair and I do not regret it. I use these on the cats, dogs n horses. Surprised there isn’t a higher star value on these clippers but I’m guessing the cost might be why… but it’s worth it in my Opinion especially if you take care of them…. They last for years!!!!

Worst clippers ever!! This is not an item one would use daily. I bought it to groom my bernedoodle which is every couple of months so when the issue with it continued it was too late to return it. It gets extremely HOT!! The metal plate wear the teeth are gets burning hot. I cut the hair relatively short on my doodle but while using these clippers, my dog yelps and jumps from being burned by the hot metal plate and teeth. Even when I got a number 6 extender, which was metal as well, it too got burning hot. I excused it away as being new the first time I used it and thinking it was just working out the kinks. Then two months later, upon grooming my dog for the second time it got raging hot again and also started emiting a burning smell. It took forever to groom my dog as I had to keep turning it off to let it cool down. I am so disappointed, especially since these clippers were not cheap. Costumers claimed it cuts through doodle hair like butter but these clippers wouldn't have any of it. It just kept jamming in her hair and that is after I had bathed, blow dried and brushed my dog's hair out. It also gets really hot while I'm holding and using the clippers as well. I never leave bad reviews but these clippers are unusable and unsafe for their purpose. I would love for the issue to be resolved by the seller and then be able to leave a good review on how well it was handled but we'll have to wait and see. No clippers on this planet should ever get this hot!!!

Fan-freaking-tastic product! I’ve bought so many clippers (all corded) that I could have paid for this one 5 times over. None of them have been able to do the job I needed. I have thick-haired cats that get extremely matted all the way down to their skin. So I usually have to take them to the vet to have them anesthetized and shaved because the mats are so tight. They come back drugged and wobbly for hours, and I pay over $100 per cat to have this done twice a year. However, I decided to splurge and see if these worked. Boy did they ever! I was able to shave one of my cats in about 10 minutes with him just wandering around the bathtub. He actually seemed to enjoy it! They aren’t loud and didn’t startle him (he’s blind). They cut through the mats like butter and didn’t damage his skin - even on the tail. Plus the fact that there’s no pesky cord in my way was amazing! I have 2 Great Pyrenees dogs that I’m going to try next (just to get the mats out - I know not to actually shave that breed of dog). Fingers crossed they work as well!

We love our Doodles but the price of grooming is insane. Not saying a professional groomer is not worth it, they are, but the cost comes down if we keep our boys trimmed and Matt free in the meantime. This trimmer will pay for itself in 3 months. It accepts wide blades which is a Godsend when shaving larger dogs. It's pretty quiet and will heat up like a normal trimmer, so a second favorite blade is just smart, so you can switch blades and keep going. Keep checking your trimmer head regularly for heat level with your hand. Too hot for your hand means too hot for your dog. For a Doodle, we purchased a 5WF and 5W for a coat about 3/8" overall. This shaver comes with a size 10 blade for a closer cut around the face and Sani area (do face first!). This trimmer and those blades make quick work of a thick coat. You need to make sure your pooch is washed, dried and brushed out or any trimmer will have issues. Watch every video you can and know your dog will not be show dog ready the first couple of times, but with practice, you will get the hang of it. Then take your buddy to a pro groomer for that super crisp finish once a quarter or so.

I’m not professional, just a girl looking to maintain her dogs coats. Heavy but solid - It’s very heavy compared to corded clippers, due to the build in battery. - The clippers feel good in your hands and offers a nice grip. Expensive - This was an investment but I feel it’s worth it. The clippers feel solid and well constructed. Battery Life - Sold so far I was able to fully groom my 14lb terrier mix with no issues and had plenty of juice to trim my malamutes paw pads. HOT BLADES! - The blades head up insanely FAST and get very hot posing a damager if you’re not vigilant. - Make sure you’re using a guard so you don’t burn your dogs. Apparently they sell a spray to cool the blades. So it seems the spray is a poor fix a known problem. Rather than fixing the hot blades, we get a cooling spay. I don’t like that they treat the symptom and not the root cause. TIP for cooling the blade faster - Detach the blade from clippers and let rest on a marble counter. The cold marble cools off the blades faster. - After it cools I clean the blades of excess hair and re-lubricate the blade. Instructions say to re-lubricate the blade every 15 minutes. That feels excessive but I’m new this so maybe that’s normal. You may want to purchase a spare blade or two to swatch while the other is cooling.

Just unboxed our new clippers tonight. Ok so I’m no pro groomer. We have a border collie/lab mix. He is terrible for the groomers. He can’t stand being there with the other dogs per the groomer and gets very stressed out. Groomer recommended he be sedated but before we go that route I decided to try to do this at home as he’s very calm with me when we’re by ourselves. So I purchased one of those “all in one” grooming kits that sucks up the fur while you clip. It’s ok for brushing but the clippers were awful. It just wouldn’t cut thru his fur easily and it kept pinching and catching on the longer fur. It would barely trim his fur for all the passes I was doing. Did some research and decided to go with Wahl KMC + model. It does EXACTLY like the video. One swipe - fur just falls off. Like no lie it handled this mop of fur we had going on with ease! I did invest in 2 other blades as that was what was recommended for our dog. His fur was really grown out and had several matted areas. I bought a Wahl 5F blade for his body and it handled his matted areas really well without pinching him -just slid right under it and he never even noticed. I also bought a 30 blade to do his feet ect. I did purchase the Wahl coolant spray and would highly recommend having on hand. I read the blades can get hot and they definitely do. The spray cooled it down right away and I could continue on pretty quickly. For being someone that has no clue what I’m doing- this was pretty straightforward and it did the job really well. We’re extremely pleased with the results!!

So it was perfect the first few months but after a while things started coming loose, the clasp would come loose or the motor would make a lot of noise my cord pops off when I have no battery which might just be annoying not really an issue tbh but my magenta one didn’t do this and they don’t sell that one anymore so I had to pick a different one and this was it. Changes were made and they aren’t for the best unfortunately, it works good has a good life but the small issues that keep happening and it’s not even a year in :/
