  • Amazing, just buy it
So this is my second, and third printer. I liked it so much I bought two. I started with another less popular brand and was troubleshooting more than I was printing. I haven't had that issue so far with these. Assembly is relatively easy if you can follow instructions, and once it's leveled to the bed it'll print without any tuning out of the box. Ive installed a bltouch with 5x5 bed leveling and it prints perfect models. The fans are QUIET and I could and have sleep in the same room with them on. I recommend upgrading the extruder and Bowden tubes as they're just such great cheap upgrades to better print quality. I did have one minor issue with a thermistor on my second printer today and support got back to me within a few hours. They sent me a new one within a day. Im still waiting on support for the other branded printer im sending back. I haven't had this much fun in a long time and this printer makes it easy to set up and get right to it. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone just starting out as the assembly will help you learn about the different components of the machine and how they work well enough to start you out printing successfully. I also highly recommend this as a second machine. TIPS If you find difficulty leveling the bed because of loose springs, you can lower the z switch and adjust accordingly. Preheat the bed before leveling. Ammonia free Windex works wonders between prints to make PLA stick. A light spray of aqua net extra strength hair spray will make PETG stick every time. My only complaint is the pneumatic couplings preinstalled are kinda meh quality, but it's not hard or expensive to replace. Have PLENTY of nozzles handy if you do a lot of printing. Consider them a consumable, and throw the old ones away. Have patience. Sometimes you may just need to clean out the hot end or a new nozzle if it's not printing properly. Bed leveling should be done above each of the 4 springs and should JUST start to grab on to your paper on all 4 springs. I use a page from the instruction manual. ... show more

  • I’ve had just about enough.
Update #4: Welp, that’s it. I’ve had just about enough of this printer. What started out as a 5 star printer slowly delved into 1. I can’t get anything useful out of this printer which makes it useless. I’ll spare you the details and the amount of filament and money I’ve lost trying to get this printer to work. Just get an Ender 3. Update #3: Still 4 stars. But after many frustratingly ugly prints I believe I finally figured it out. DO NOT use the CURA profile that’s given by the manufacturer. It will give you a headache and waste filament, money and time. Instead, use the Creality Ender 3 Printer profile. This is a clone so why wouldn’t it work? After switching printer settings, my prints finally appear to be presentable. Crossing my fingers it stays this way. Update #2: 1 Week Update now 4 Stars After 1 week of non stop printing, I’ve gotten quite a few failures. I’m getting issues with bed adhesion. The bed does not adhere the same as an Ender 3. It’s weaker. The most recent failure was a 10 hour print that completely misaligned towards the end. Quite frustrating, really. I print the same piece with my Ender 3 successfully every time. Knocked off a star. Will see how this progresses... Original 5 Star Review: I am genuinely impressed and satisfied with this purchase. I own 2 Ender 3 V2s and a Qidi XPlus for my small 3D printing business. I had originally purchased an AnyCubic Mega S but couldn't get any useable prints out of it so it was returned. I chose the Aquila because of reviews saying it's an Ender 3 clone. It's also $100 cheaper! I'm cheap. My experience with the Ender 3 paid off. Outside of some slight cosmetic changes, such as having no bottom tray like the V2, it's EXACTLY like the Ender 3. The initial build and setup is quite simple when following the instruction manual booklet. But for anyone completely new, I would suggest that you follow a YouTube video. There are some slight misalignment issues with some of the milling and I couldn't get the bottom feet perfectly level. But overall, it's solid. The LCD has a really nice build and navigating the menus runs smoothly. Setting up the Aquila with CURA was simple. The settings profile can be found inside the provided micro SD card. Inside the card, you can also find an angled bracket to print. This is PERFECT for me because I needed the 3D printer to fit on a shelf with my other printers but having the spool on top would not allow for it to fit. So, thanks for including that! With the printer cooled down, using the paper leveling technique worked like a charm. The bed was perfectly level. When running my first print using PLA+, the first layer stuck right away and I made my finer adjustments from there. I had no warping issues or adhesion issues. Perfect. Print quality is on par with the Ender 3. It is a clone after all. 5 stars. I upgraded the PTFE tube to a Capricorn and switched out the leveling springs to stiffer ones. I also plan on switching out the acrylic extruder to an all-metal one. Any upgrade for the Ender 3 will also work on the Aquila. That includes 3D printed upgrades you can find online. It doesn't come with an extruder knob so you'll have to print one. I'm very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend it. ... show more
