I’m very impressed with the Vornado AVH10. After trying other ceramic and convection-style heaters, this one feels like the smarter design for a small condo. The vortex airflow is innovative — it distributes warmth evenly through the room and even reaches my open bedroom, instead of just creating a hot spot. The sensor seems accurate enough, and I like how it intelligently drops into low mode once the space is comfortable, making it quieter and more pleasant. Compact, effective, and thoughtfully engineered. 5-star review.

This is the very best space heater I’ve ever owned. 5 stars! Ten out of ten review!! Purchased this when our weather outside was -40 degrees with the wind chill. The new house heating system was not getting warmer than 62 degrees inside. I was freezing. This heater will warm up an entire room and is awesome at circulating heat. It does take a couple of hours for the entire room to feel like it is at the same temperature, but it got me warm much more quickly. And it doesn’t send out extreme heat directly in front of it. It’s all controlled and nice. Doesn’t feel like it’ll singe hair or burn your skin, like some other heaters. It won’t burn you if you touch the face while it’s in. It turns completely off if it even slightly turns over, or if fabric touches it. And it seems very safe. Plus, it works as a fan too, if you’re in a warm climate! I was not compensated for this review and I paid full price. It’s worth every penny! My other Vornado fans have lasted over 10 years and I’m hoping this heater will also!

One of the best space heaters I have ever purchased. It delivers heat gently across the whole room. Highly recommended if the price is right. During the winter, if I decide to work from home, instead of heating up the whole house, I will just heat up the home office with extra warmth using this space heater. You will get back the money you paid for his heater with savings from heating bill just one winter.

Heats surprisingly fast! Also easy to use, fairly quiet, doesn't get hot to the touch, and doubles as a fan when not needed for heating - basically everything one could want from a space heater.

The Vornado AVH10 focuses on Auto Climate Control and consistent air circulation, making it a solution for anyone looking to supplement their home heating without a spike in the utility bill. Key Features & Performance Vortex Action Technology: Unlike traditional heaters that blow heat in a straight line, the AVH10 creates a twisting current of air that uses walls and ceilings as pathways to distribute heat evenly. This means no "hot spots" or "cold corners." Intelligent Auto Climate: One of the most impressive features is the Auto Climate Control. Instead of simply cycling on and off, the unit senses the room temperature and automatically adjusts the heat output and fan speed to maintain your desired level of comfort. Energy Efficiency: This heater is a prime candidate for "zone heating." By keeping a small room warm you’re actually using at a perfect temperature, you can lower the thermostat for the rest of the house, allowing the AVH10 to eventually pay for itself in energy savings. Design & Safety Sleek Modern Aesthetic: The AVH10 looks great in any modern room. The digital LED display and push-button controls are intuitive and easy to read, even in low light. Cool-to-the-Touch Exterior: Safety is a major priority here. Even after hours of operation, the outer cabinet remains cool, making it a safer choice for households with pets or children. Versatile Settings: With two heat settings (High/Low) and a Fan Only mode, it remains useful even when you don't need a blast of heat but just want to keep the air moving. The Verdict It’s quiet, powerful, and remarkably consistent. While some might find the lack of a remote control a minor omission, the automation of the climate control largely makes a remote unnecessary once you’ve dialed in your settings. Bottom Line: If you want a heater that maintains a "set it and forget it" temperature without the constant noise of a traditional fan, the AVH10 is a top-tier choice.

...Not that I've tried a ton of different ones, but this model has not let me down. Both I and my mom have used one for years now, no problems, no concerns. At one point I tried buying a different model because I had another room to heat and wanted one ASAP from the store. Wow, did I regret that, because it almost melted itself from the inside out.

email i sent to vornado: i just bought a vornado av10 fan/heater through amazon. i plugged it in, enjoyed it for five minutes, it shorted out. i looked at the manual--it says, if this happens unplug the device for five or ten minutes, then try again. i did that--did it several times over the last hour, in fact, a complete waste of time--the screen comes on for a second and then blacks out. your product is defective. it does not work. i am returning it to amazon for a refund. you have the nerve to say on the box that you expect perfection, and the manual says that if the thing repeatedly shorts out i should call you. but, first, you've already wasted enough of my time; second, if you go to the extent of printing in the manual what to do if the heater repeatedly shorts out, this must be a recurring problem, other people must have had it too--not a great sign; and third, i do not want in my house a product--a product involving heat and electricity--that has even the remotest tendency to short circuit. i'd had a good impression of vornado products; i no longer do.

Despite its compact size, it puts out strong, consistent heat and does a good job circulating warmth evenly throughout the space. The heating speed is impressive, and it reaches a comfortable temperature fairly quickly. The included remote control makes it very convenient to adjust settings from across the room, and the controls are simple and easy to understand. Stability is solid, with a sturdy base that keeps it secure during use, and its compact design makes it very space-friendly without taking up much floor area. Overall, it feels well-built and reliable, offering strong performance for its size. Considering its features and efficiency, it delivers good value for money for anyone needing dependable supplemental heating.
