    • Extremely hard to get patient on and off of pad if not in bed

It does not work for an elderly person with arthritis everywhere. When the canvas seat lifts up your patient will feel a lot of pain. If your patient is weak it's very hard to get them on to the canvas and hard to get them off. I wanted to see if I can get my patient on to the toilet or the commode but it's extremely hard when the patient is weak. Because when you sit your patient down how do you get the canvas out from underneath when they sit on a chair or something The bed you can do it because they can lay down and roll over. Then it is very slow lifting up and going down. The wheels are just small enough to be an extreme irritation whenever you go over little threshold bumps from hardwood floor to carpet. Only if your patient is small like the guy they show in the example videos do I think this thing is worth any bit of money. I found I'm far better off getting a sit-to-stand device of course that means putting a little bit of weight on the feet. ... show more

I purchased this lift to help transfer my mom from bed to wheel chair around the hoyseand to the car. We are experimenting with getting her off the bed and to the wheelchair successfully. The issue we have is sufficient back support to keep a person short from falling through under the back support. Mom is petite and the back support only supports her head and hurts her kneck. I have had to use a large wedge to support her back safely. Suggestion the back support needs to extend down to the back area to accommodate petite elderly with limited mobility. I will add to my review as we use it to tranfer to the car and out of the car. With this experience I have to give a 4 star ... show more
