  • Great commuter scooter with comfort and practicality
Style: 16" 500W 25Miles Black
I’ve been using the adult electric scooter for a couple of weeks, and it’s been a solid choice for commuting and errands. The seat is surprisingly comfortable with good cushioning, and the wider deck makes standing or adjusting your position easy. The ride feels stable even on rougher paths thanks to the all terrain tires. I typically get about 20 miles on a charge, which is plenty for daily use, and the 350W motor handles moderate hills well. The top speed is just right for city riding, fast enough but still safe. The added carry basket is a nice touch for carrying groceries or a backpack. Assembly was simple, and it feels sturdy overall. For the price, it’s a practical, comfortable, and fun way to get around. ... show more

  • Cool Product
Style: 14" 350W 19Miles White
We wanted to upgrade our electric scooter and we found this one. It comes with seat and a carry basket which is very useful and convenient. We use it to grab groceries in front of the neighborhood. The ride is smooth. The cushioning of the seat is very soft and the deck is wide and anti-slip. The wheel is robust for rough roads. This electric scooter is foldable, and the brake works very well. The assembly was easy. ... show more

  • This thing is a blast.
Style: 14" 350W 19Miles White
If you are on the fence about this scooter, get it! This thing is fun for all ages. First off, any tools needed are supplied which was super helpful because I didn’t have to go searching for the right ones in the garage. Once it was all set to go I was amazed at how much fun it was to drive. There is next to no learning curve, it really is very easy. There is very good pick up on it and goes plenty fast. The handling is very responsive. I love how well built this scooter is. It seems to be very durable due to the build quality. Also, the battery is very long lasting. The basket on the back it very convenient to carry along anything you might want or need. This thing is a blast. ... show more

  • Horrible company, scooter can barely make it up hills
Style: 14" 350W 19Miles Black
Update: Gotrax never sent me a replacement tire tube, despite telling me they did. After giving me the runaround for several weeks, they told me to purchase tire tubes size (and I am quoting them directly from the email) " 14"x2.5" ". They said they woud reimburse. Fine. I trusted that the information they gave me was accurate, however the tire tubes I got arrived today. They are not the right size. The size listed in this ad for the ASTRO is " 14"x2.125" "; the size they gave me is for a different model. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. I haven't been able to use my scooter since July 14th. It is now September 9th. I will have to re-order the right size and again ask them to reimburse me for the cost. Their customer service team is in China so it's not as if I can get this resolved in real time. ------------ Update: my rear tire went flat randomly and i could not pump it up. A month ago GoTrax customer support say they would send me 2 new replacement tires since they are a special kind. I have yet to receive the tires. They cannot give me a tracking number. For several days they keep telling me they’ll check the warehouse. I have mobility issues and can’t drive so this is my backup. I’ve been depressed and not having transportation is adding to all of my other problems making me $uicidal. I just want to replace my tire. They won’t give me a tracking number and have not just re-sent tires to me. I’m extremely angry Update: after charging the scooter all night, the battery only had 3 bars. Right now I don’t feel safe traveling longer than 5 miles unless I’ll be able to charge the battery at my destination. I contacted customer support because it seems to me that the battery is faulty and I would rather have a replacement then to be stranded somewhere in winter with a ~65 lb scooter that doesn’t work. I will update once this is resolved through customer service. I found this scooter while looking for an affordable electric scooter that was equipped with a basket. The package was delivered to the wrong apartment, and considering the box weighs quite a bit, it was a workout to pull it up a set of stairs and over to my apartment. Once I got it inside and opened the box, setup was fairly easy. The handlebars come disconnected but are easy to connect. The only things left to do were add the seat, basket, and then plug in the battery. I modified the scooter with a larger basket, rear-view mirror, and phone holder. I also got a Master Lock brand U-lock to use while out and about. The scooter comes with front and rear lights, and a little bell. The bell was in the way so I moved it to allow room for the mirror. The shocks can be adjusted depending on how much cushion you want. I didn’t adjust mine but I may loosen them a bit just to have a smoother ride. On my first ride I noticed that it accelerates nicely and fairly smoothly. The mechanism to go forward took a bit to getting used to, only because the scooters I rode previously were a bit different. I almost always ride at the max speed, and let off when going down hills. Higher speeds are possible while going down hill. On inclines the scooter slows a little bit, and even more if the incline is more than a 20 degree angle. Nonetheless, this was not an issue for me as I was not needing to go up steep inclines. I also weigh around 108 lbs, so I imagine someone weighing closer to the max limit of the scooter would have trouble. There is not a lot of “horse power” driving the motor so for people who want more speed and more power, I would recommend the 500W model rather than the 350W one that I bought. Another small thing I noticed is that - just after one ride, the grip tape is coming off in one of the corners. It’s not a huge deal, but as someone who used to skateboard - gripping her own boards - it’s not difficult to make sure the grip tape stays on properly. The grip tape itself is a little bit thin, so I might actually replace the grip tape myself. On my second right I noticed that on the way back from a ~3 mile round trip, the battery indication screen kept going from 3 bars to 2, interchanging between the two almost randomly. I charged the battery full overnight, and that issue did not happen the first day I rode it, and it had only charged for ~4 hours prior to that. I’m not sure if there is something wrong with my scooter, but I plan on seeing what the bars do when the battery drains lower. Another thing I noticed is that the breaks don’t function as well when roads are wet, so it’s something to be mindful for. This is true for bicycles as well so I was expecting that. I rode the scooter on a dry day and a wet day and it did fine both times. For the price, it is decent. The price dropped around $60 literally the day after I bought it, which meant the price for the 500W had dropped to the price I paid for this scooter, so I was feeling kind of bitter about that. I would have preferred the 500W, but the price point and shipping time for this one just worked out better for me. In the future if I were to buy another one, or replace this one, I would get one with more power for sure. ... show more

  • Great Product Concept-Quality Lackluster
When I ride my Flex around town, I always turn heads and get many questions like “Where did you get that from?” and “How much did that cost?” They can’t believe it when I tell them how very affordable it is, how fast it goes, and how far it will take me between charges. The next thing they usually say is “I’m going to look into that!” I have really enjoyed the practicality of the Flex, the ease of use, and the ability to either load it into the trunk of a car or throw it up on the public bus bicycle rack. The size of the tires means this is an option for me when I want to cheaply go a longer distance. Speaking of tire size, the wheels make for a smooth and somewhat comfortable ride. In the city bike lanes, this scooter is a dream. On the bumpy sidewalks, not so much. But the seat and shocks do a decent job of reducing as much discomfort as possible. I recommend tightening every single nut and bolt on the scooter BEFORE you start using it. Lackluster quality and attention to detail means you will be losing parts left and right if you omit this step. And since customer service is downright ridiculous, and the warranty, I discovered through experience, doesn’t cover what they deem “accessories,” and I deem “what I paid for,” then save yourself the headache, and thoroughly put the scooter through the paces before the 30-day return period ends (if you purchased from Amazon). Returning through them is a much, much easier and sanity preserving than dealing with Gotrax. All-in-all, the scooter is perfect for my needs, and the price point is very nice. I would recommend it, keeping those things I mentioned in mind. Happy scooting! ... show more
