Does the package come with charger and remote control, do I need to buy them separately? Yes, the package comes with charger and remote control. If you receive a package that's missing any of these items, we'll send you replacement. I'm confused about the Charging Info. After charging my hand control for 3 hours, there's still no light. Is it broken? During charging, the charger's light turns red and green when fully charged. The hand controller's light itself remains off during or after charging. To check the battery, press "UP" or "DOWN" on the controller; the light indicates the battery level. If I use the chair lift mainly for emergencies and not frequently, how often should I charge the hand controller? The charging frequency for the hand controller should align with how often you plan to use it. However, even if you don't use the chair lift for extended periods, I recommend charging it fully at least once a month to prevent deep discharge. Is it safe to use this chair lift in the bathtub, and can I immerse it in water? Our chair lift is waterproof, allowing safe usage in water as long as the hand control is properly connected to the chair. It's safe to submerge during a bath, but make sure not to leave it submerged for extended periods after you're done. I am not very much into giving reviews on any product I buy online but this time the quality of this product and its functionality calls for it. Buying this Chair Lift for me has been a tremendous help and a game changer in the care I provide for my husband. I was surprised how well this device work because is like having a portable small elevator from the floor to a sitting position available to you when you need it! I never expected to find this innovative and well-made product in the market when I started to shop for some aids or techniques to help someone who has fallen or slide to the floor to stand up with the least of the efforts from them or the helper or care giver. This is a product that really works, well built and very easy to handle. It is more than a blessing if the person who needs to stand up help themselves to be positioned on the chair but if that is not the case it cost little effort for you and any care giver to sit him or her on the Chair Lift since it has 2 extended ramps to the side that facilitates that person to be positioned on the Chair. It is easy to carry, though a little bit heavy, any regular standard size person can handle it with ease. The Chair Lift It is definitely a high quality, durable product with very sturdy material used in its fabrication. It is a definitely a plus especially with respect to accessibility, safety and care-giving in general. I have used it sometimes for my husband when he slides to the floor and can’t get back up. The caregiver and I positioned him back into the Chair Lift and he was up in his feet in not time! Definitely a great purchase and I highly recommend this product. It saves me time, it gives me a peace of mind knowing I can handle falls in case I need it, it gives me independence from external help and has made my life more stress free knowing that I can help my husband in an easy and safe way. I just received my chair lift. It seems fantastic. It was simple to set up. Actually there is basically no setup. You open the box and take it out. Charge the control for about 3 hrs. Plug it into the chair and it works. Im amazed at the price. Very reasonable for what it is. If it had been more expensive I might not of taken a chance on it. Very well made. The chair works well to lift a person from the floor. It is easy to use. It appears that it will function well for its intended purpose. I would suggest 3 modifications that would make this a better unit. The side boards help in transferring from the floor to the chair, but they are very flimsy and are not strong enough to allow help with standing or to change position when seated. The chair back does not lock in place, so it can open when carrying the unit. A latch to keep it closed would be helpful. I used a bungee cord. There is space on the chair back to hold the controller and the charger. This would be useful to keep all items together. I store the controller under the bungee cord I used. I will use a velcro strap to hold the charger to the chair back. ... show more

Great lift for the price. Perfect for light duty use: getting up and down from the floor to groom the dog and the occasional self-rescue if I fall. It doesn't feel very sturdy but it performs as expected. There are other more expensive options out there if you need something heavy duty.     • Caregiver must-have
I bought this a while ago using insurance and did not review it because we had never used it. This is one of those things you want to have on hand before you need it. So now we have needed it and used it and u have to say, I highly recommend getting this lift chair. As a caregiver for two seniors getting them off the ground is a problem we have had in the past. I have had to call for help from 911 and I when I didn't, I have hurt myself by trying to lift them alone. This was so easy and quick to set up! It's maneuverable but not light. I don't think a senior alone may be able to use it easily. I was able to lift it ( even one-handed) and move it into place behind my dad. I previously charged it and had it waiting for us where we store it behind the bedroom door. To use it: I just had to get it in place, unfold it, then plug in the control and it was ready just that fast. This product is on my list of best purchases ever made on Amazon. Seriously, get it. I highly recommend this lift chair. This made it easy for me to get my dad up and saved my back, too. You can't help if you are injured! ... show more

    • MAIDeSITe electric chair lifts are not reliable.
I purchased this chair and used it about a dozen times. My wife, is disabled and we needed something like this to assist her in getting in and out of the bathtub, and up from the floor if she were to fall. The chair quit working, and I tried calling the company to no avail. Luckily it didn't quit when she was in the tub. I would have had to call 911. The chair is now stuck in an upright position. I did order a new charger to see if that was the issue, and it was not. Amazon arranged a return, but UPS will not take it unless it is boxed. No one told me that. The UPS driver then gave me what he said was a prepaid label and told me to take it to a UPS store.. I found out, after driving 40 miles one way to a UPS store, that they charge me for boxing. Never have I had to before with Amazon returns. To return the chair and chargers, I was told it would cost at least $60. I didn't have that much cash on me at the time. Didn't expect I needed it. So, I drove home. Called Amazon the next day. It was at least the fourth time I talk to them. The agent told me to return the chair to the store with the label and pay the $60. He said to keep the receipt, and to call back when I had it, and he would see if they could help with the charge. So, we will see how this unfolds. Amazon is at least trying. MAIDeSITe is unreachable, and has not been helpful with this chair return at all. You get no answer when you cal their number. They just have a recording tell you to leave a message. I wasn't even sure I had reached the right number. II left numerous voicemails at different times, and on three separate days. Just beware, and don't trust lift chair or MAIDeSITe to help you if you have a problem.. ... show more
