My wife ordered this to help when she falls as I have limited ability to help her up. I am only returning it because she requires a different product she can manage by herself. Outstanding, strong, sturdy, very helpful with weak or incapable patience. Lso helped with a heavy box or two off the floor to a shelf. Rolls very well on carpet and tile or hard woods. Comfortable and worth every penny. We own the higher level model as well. The only downside I see to the cheaper version is the handle bars are like a hand dolly and if your buying for an older person to push or pull their partner go up a level for the wrap around bar style over the two handles. It was difficult for my 70 YO mother to use this handle style verses the bar. But it works great for my in laws. Who are stronger in the hands but still needs help getting someone up off the floor or couch.

This works like promised. Fortunately, we have not had an emergency at our house, but it has been tested and easily handled a bit over 250 pounds. The seat is wide enough. The lift moves slowly, but that is what you want when moving someone with balance issues who just had a bad fall and is going to be upset. Some assembly required, but it was not difficult. The battery holds a charge for a long time while it is sitting and waiting. Using it to lift weight probably uses a lot more of the battery, but if you are using it, you would know to watch the battery life indicator. The big plus for this unit is the security that now you can get your person back up off the floor when you need to. It is such a relief to have that worry lessoned a bit.

It appears to be well made. It works as advertised. I haven't used it much. One drawback is that it only lifts to about 21 inches. I purchased a 3 inch cushion as I have a bad knee and I cannot attempt to stand on less than 24 inches for fear of tearing up my knee again. Larger rollers would be better And make it easier to move. Not a bad value.

My husband was having issues with his balance and purchased this chair to have it in case he fell. I had to use it last night and I have to tell you that is worthless. When you are trying to move someone that is 6 feet and 175 pounds the chair does not lock properly. As soon as you put some pressure on it, it rolls. I do not recommend it, I would send it back if I could but my return period has passed.

Wonderful for lifting one off the floor after a fall. Very sturdy and substantial... Priced raisonnably compared to others. No longer needing to call for help to get you up. One scoots ton the floor to reach it, sit on it at floor level, and use the remote to go up to regular chair level. For elderly people living alone it has to be kept open, plugged and readily accessible at all times. A must for peace of mind and security.

In November 2025 at 1:00 am, my 82-year-old, 190 lb husband of 54 years took a fall. I am 79 years old weighing in at 110 pounds. Although I tried, it was physically impossible for me to help him stand. I had to call the paramedics and bless their hearts, they helped him back into bed. Fortunately, he hadn’t really hurt himself. The next morning I went onto Amazon looking for a chairlift. To be honest, I bought two because one could be here the next day and this one was going to take a few days. As soon as the first one arrived, I put it together. It was very heavy, loud and it didn’t move very smoothly, but at least I had it. When I received this one, I also put it together.. It was lighter in weight but still a little heavy but moved smoothly , over both floor and rug, and it was quiet. This was back in November 2025. I immediately reboxed the other one, which by the way, cost quite a bit more. and sent it back. Just a note my hubby has dementia and I have cameras to help me know what’s happening, as I proceed to get things done in the house. Yesterday he decided to sit down on the bedroom floor. He then picked himself up and went back to bed. A little bit later, he again sat down on the floor. This time he was unable to get up. I went upstairs, concerned that the chair might not be charged. I turned the power on, and it was ready to go. I proceeded to put it behind him, had him scoot back onto the chair, and had the chair lift him. It was fabulous. There was no problem. He felt very secure. He proceeded to stand up using the armrests and got back into bed. I cannot say enough about this chairlift. Since I hadn’t used it, I wasn’t sure what would happen. I recommend this chairlift to anyone who might have a similar problem. It is a Godsend!
