  • Read Before Buying!
Style: 65” 4K HDR Smart TV
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I don’t know if it was just the specific unit that I received in the mail or if this is a problem with all of these TVs but do not buy this! After hooking up the TV and getting all of the consoles set up, the picture and sound would go out for 2 to 3 seconds and then come back on. It was almost like someone was switching the inputs on the TV back-and-forth because when the picture would come back it would display the info bar at the top of the screen. I looked through Reddit and called Vizio’s customer service and nothing could be done about it. It only seemed to do it when it was in HDR and playing 4K. I tried everything to fix it, unplugged it from the wall held down the power button for 10 seconds and plugged it back in, it still did it, switched out HDMI cords, bought new ones that were made for 4K HDR, turned CEC off (someone on reddit said that worked for them), nothing worked. Amazon was kind enough to actually let me return this TV. I will not be buying Vizio products ever again. This was a terrible experience. If you are thinking of buying this TV and come across this review please look into it further before you do so. This is apparently a common problem with Vizio TVs and as of now there is no firmware patch or workaround to fix it. I will try to upload a video showing what I’m talking about later. ... show more

  • Amazing TV! Stunning color, high-end quality. Simply perfect!
Style: 65” 4K HDR Smart TV
Before purchasing my 65" VIZIO Quantum 4K, I literally spent months doing research. Some background: I'm a gamer and streamer. In my home, we use PlayStation Vue for television, I play a lot of PS4, and we watch Netflix and Amazon Prime seemingly every night. The TV is a pretty important fixture in the home, to say the least. Oh, and I'm also obsessed with watching sports on TV - NFL/NBA/MLB and Premier League soccer. From my perspective, the TV had to deliver for each of those mediums. I knew I wanted either a 65" or 75" 4K TV, and was pretty certain I was going to end up with a Samsung, Sony, or LG. After taking my first trip to Best Buy to see a few of the models up close and in person, I realized that Vizio had to be included in the discussion. Compared to the other sets, the color pop on the Vizio was simply something I couldn't ignore. While continuing my research, I started trending towards the VIZIO.. which kind of surprised me. It met all of my requirements though! Deep blacks with a 240hz refresh rate were a must. I was coming from a 60" Samsung Plasma with a 600hz refresh rate. Sure, only 1080P.. but I had a hard time justifying a new TV since I loved it. I also knew I was looking for either a 65" or 75" TV, and 4K with HDR was pretty much assumed as well. For those of you looking at other 4K's, I challenge you to take a super hard look at this one from VIZIO. The bevel-less design is gorgeous, the color and vibrancy are amazing, and the 240hz refresh rate means 4K content is truly amazing. I did end up wall mounting this, and the result is amazing. Oh, and I was pretty sold on getting a 75" version until I measured it on my wall. If you're thinking the 65" is not going to be big enough, you may want to measure the dimensions on your wall with painter tape. Sitting about 6 feet away, this TV feels HUGE. I think the fact that it's so bright plays a factor as well. Having it wall mounted with a slight tilt down makes a big difference as well, in my opinion. I did read a few reviews that said the side-angle viewing was disappointing.. but honestly I just don't understand where they're coming from. Frankly, I vehemently disagree that this TV is lacking in any area. In Summary: this VIZIO is OUTSTANDING. Better than many of the more-expensive sets out there, and I can't say enough about how amazing it is. Going from 1080P to 4K was always going to be a big step forward for me, but this particular set has straight up blown away my expectations. For the price, I don't think you can do any better at all. Don't even hesitate for a second. This is the one. ... show more

Visio customer service doesn't exist! Visio wants all the information online and then on top of that wants your credit card # and a $1.00 just to reply to your question! EXTREMELY DISATIFIED.....

  • Kinda Bummed Right Now
Style: 65” 4K HDR Smart TV
The streaming apps work great, the picture is awesome, but no signal on HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. This is with a known good direct source (AppleTV). I might need a new motherboard or I/O board, not sure which. I hope Visio calls me so I can update this review. UPDATE: In a Hail Mary attempt to get a signal I just clicked through all the HDMI inputs (1-5) and actually got a signal on 5. Checked the cable connection and wouldn't you know it, I was plugged into HDMI 5 the whole time. In my defense, I'm old, I wear bifocals, and the man cave is pretty dark. And when an old man reads things upside down in the dark, a 5 will always become a 2. So the two HDMI inputs on the side aren't HDMI 1 and HDMI 2. They're HDMI 4 and HDMI 5. I feel like such a newb. What a relief. The last thing I wanted to do was hunt down a new main board and open the back cover on this thing. I thought I would only have to do that on my Sony TVs eventually (2 so far). Vizio, I owe you an apology. This is an awesome set! I've gone into the picture settings and made some adjustments to my taste (a long way from the factory torch mode). I can say, this thing compares favorably to my Samsung QN65Q8FN FLAT 65” QLED costing more than twice as much. Deep blacks, white whites. Gorgeous. ... show more

  • Underwhelming and disappointing
Style: 65” 4K HDR Smart TV
Quite a bit disappointed. Will return. I tried numerous different picture settings, different media sources, inputs, even went out and bought new hdmi cables. The full array local dimming is really bad! Resulting in splotchy text (see YouTube menu picture). You can see the screen noticeably brighten and dim at random during certain content. It’s not smooth or subtle dimming either. It’s quite distracting and not good looking at all. This is with trying low, medium, and high FALD settings During solid colors, panning shots, or anything with a somewhat still image, you can see black/gray lines through the tv. What’s concerning is if you just google vizio blooming or vizio fald issues, you’ll find tons of posts about similar issues. So quality control seems to be a bit hit or miss. Going to give vizio one more shot by exchanging this panel. Fingers crossed this tv is just defective and this isn’t expected behavior. Not a good first experience though. ... show more
