I ordered this Samsung 42" TV to use in my shop area and am very pleased with it. I already have larger Samsung TV so I am familiar with the quality Samsung products provide. This one is perfect for my needs in the shop. I not only use it to keep up on the news and watch a few shows while I am working on projects but I also use it as a monitor for the computer I that controls my 3D printer. The setup was pretty easy since I already have a Samsung Account which I setup with my larger Samsung TV. I was able to set it up quickly and add my Amazon Prime account to it. I also hooked up a power antenna and was able to get a number of local TV stations. Between the free Samsung movies and shows, the Amazon Prime offerings and local channels I have access to all the news and entertainment I need. The picture quality is excellent and even the low resolution local channels look great. Everything is easy to find and access from the Home Screen using the simple remote control. My only complaint about the remote control it the volume control which easily mutes the sound if I am not careful but I'm getting used to it. The price is a little higher than some of the cheap brands but the quality is much better and I expect it to last a good long while, where other brands typically crap out after a couple of years and have to be replaced. ... show more

This is my second Samsung television and it was a breeze to setup. Even if it is your first, the setup process is pretty minimal and the online account gives you a few shortcuts in the process. We're also a Samsung SmartThings home, so it's really nice to have that app on the TV to see, and in some cases control, lights, thermostats, and switches from the comfort of the chair. The preinstalled apps are easy to setup as they present a QR code on the screen which you can then use your phone (with a keypad) to login to each service. The UltraHD 4K picture is absolutely amazing and I had to try it out on my new M4 Mac Mini. Wow, wow, wow. I never knew a television could work so well as a computer monitor. I don't do any gaming on it, but everything else is butter smooth. Sound quality is great for a television of this size. Sound isn't going to full a large room, but it's just fine for bedrooms and workshops. Overall, very happy with the quality of this TV and the Samsung brand in general. ... show more

I ordered this for in our spare room. It's the perfect size (43" model) for on top of our artificial fireplace. The tv was simple to unpack and get setup. The two feet/supports simply slide into the slots at the bottom of the tv. The supports are heavily made and hold the tv sturdy. Once put together and plugged in, the tv walked me through the setup. Synced with my SmartThings app and automatically connected to my WiFi. The tv was ready go in just minutes. The color is good, and the picture is crisp. There are the basic connections on the back which include 3 HDMI ports which is plenty for my needs. As a spare room tv, it isn't watched on a daily basis. I couldn't find any mention of the internal speakers, but for a small room, I find the sound to clear and plenty loud for the room. I like the small bezels around the edge of the tv. I also like all the free content offered. There are tons of features, and I am sure that I will learn them over time. This is a great tv for the price and works perfect in a smaller room (Den, bedroom, breezeway, etc.). ... show more
