  • A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE
Size: 40 inch
This was a really good deal on a tv. Since I live pretty far from stores like Walmart and Target I was kind of nervous about buying a TV from amazon. But I had a friend and my friend said it'll be great they bring it right to your house. So I said okay and at first it was a little overwhelming because I was used to my other TV with Roku but now that I've had it for a few months I really love it. It has all these settings that come in really handy a timer so if you fall asleep it goes off automatically it's great. I would tell anybody to get this kind of TV you will be very happy. Plus it's user-friendly for all ... show more

  • An excellent value, great picture, cats go for birds onscreen.Keep it up high.
Size: 40 inch
I've been very pleased with this product, when I bought it I overlooked the fact it came with so many free channels. Other reviews noted that the lag time for buffering was irritating. I have it hooked to my Starlink at over 200 GBPS in the middle of Alaska and I've noticed it does lag a bit,but .I've actually watched movies that are still in theaters. For free.An excellent buy for me.I had to buy a heavier mount to support it,but it stays solid even in a 6.2 quake.Great picture and sound, even better with my Bluetooth headset. It costs nothing to register with Vizio, and opens up dozens of free channels. I had to look up the terms when I saw how many.No charges whatsoever. You'll need to buy a Game console to HDMI adapter for gameplay.Like 20.00.Playing Elder scrolls on it is like a new game. The cat even jumps at the screen when a bird or small rodent goes by.Blue tooth speakers sync easily to it.I'm happy.good value. ... show more

  • Very good for the price
Size: 40 inch
Bought this TV to replace an older (as in a tube) TV in the bedroom. Didn't want to spend much money as this is used more to catch up with the news and such, not for high-end viewing experiences. The setup was really easy even for someone who is not completely technologically inept but not a tech-nerd either. Had to create a Vizio account which was a bit meh but you can't really get anything these days without an account. Have noticed some buffering on a couple of occasions. Not enough to be a major annoyance and I think it has more to do with our Wi-Fi connection than anything else. The sound quality leaves something to be desired as there are times when voices are a bit garbled and then suddenly get better. The picture quality is fine for my eyes. For the price I paid, this is a perfectly acceptable TV. My son has had a Vizio 7 years now and it has worked great, so I wasn't too hesitant to get one as well. ... show more

  • This tv has a great picture and sound, and it was a very good price.
Size: 40 inch
This TV was our first smart TV. The picture is very clear and the sound is good. The price was very reasonable too. The 40 inch was perfect for the place we had for it, even though it replaced a smaller tv. My husband is the one who loves tv so he had to learn how to use it. He had to have some help from friends to learn how to use it, but he is not tech savy so the problems he had were because of that. Now he's familiar with it and enjoys it every day. ... show more

  • Mostly good as long as you keep your expectations reasonable.
Size: 40 inch
I saw several complaints about the sound quality, and "You'll need a soundbar or some kind of external speaker(s)", but that wasn't the case at all. The sound quality on this TV actually isn't bad at all. That was the only thing holding me back from purchasing it, so I didn't have very high hopes going in. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Not that it sounds right up there with the best or anything like that, because it doesn't and it isn't, but the average user shouldn't have any problem with the sound quality straight out of the box. The picture quality is equally as surprising. It's a 1080p TV, so don't expect mind blowing clarity, but for what it is and what it costs, it's really nice, and with all kinds of settings that I've never heard of. I actually did very little in the way of setting this thing up. I remember reading somewhere just a few days ago that Vizio TVs are factory preset to the taste of individual countries that they ship them to, and after reading that, it made sense to me why there was very little adjustment necessary. LOL I think I spent more time getting it out of the box than I did making adjustments. Setup was a breeze. It found my Wi-Fi immediately, I put my password in to get it connected, and inside of a few seconds, it was ready to go... or so I thought Naturally, the first thing it wanted to do was install a bunch of updates. Doesn't everything anymore? After downloading, installing, restarting, installing, restarting, installing, restarting, I was finally ready to do a channel scan. Yeah, I got cable TV out of my life over 20 years ago, and I haven't missed it one bit. The scan took three to four minutes and brought up like 48 channels. I'm still working on this input called Watch Free, and as near as I can tell, it's kind of a mix with your station presets and other select material probably based on those stations. In the 3+ weeks since delivery, I haven't experienced one flaw, lockup, random restart, random power down, glitch or hiccup out of it. There are a few little things about it that I'm not too thrilled about, namely the complete lack of RCA inputs, only two HDMI inputs, and when inputting channels on OTA TV using the number pad, it brings up an on-screen numberpad, but instead of intuitively hitting the center button, you have to use the arrow down to navigate to an area at the bottom of the on-screen keypad, and when you get to the correct tab, THEN hit the center button. Next, arguably the most used controls on the remote, the channel and volume keys... Why do they all now place those keys so low on the remote? Those keys are way down near the bottom to the point that you don't really have any room to hold onto the remote. The remote is also narrow, thin, short, and VERY slippery. Overall, I guess it's ok, but a universal remote is probably in my near future. As the title says, keep your expectations reasonable, and you shouldn't be disappointed. If you want a TV that performs like a $1000+ set, then go spend $1000 on a set, and you'll be just fine. As far as its current price tag of $138 is concerned, you're getting a LOT of TV for your money. EDIT: At almost two months in, I've been able to integrate it into my entertainment needs without much of any learning curve, and I'm still happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Gorgeous picture.
Size: 40 inch
I wanted a bigger tv than my old 30" for several reasons but mainly because I was having some difficulty reading the screen and it was a bear to get any bluetooth earbuds to connect. This Vizio solved both of those problems. The picture is sharp and clear and the bluetooth feature works like a charm! I'm an older lady but I didn't have any trouble getting it out of the box and setting it up. The legs were tricky to attach and I wished I had one of those magnetized screwdrivers but once I had them on there was no problem with screws not fitting or the TV tipping. The plethora of programming choices is overwhelming but in the end I went back to using my TV firestick in HDMI2. The remote control that comes with the Vizio is super sensitive and take just a touch to move the cursor around the screen. All in all I'm quite delighted with it and for the price it was a bargain. ... show more
