Perfect vent insert. It’s easily adjustable and fits different sized hoses. I needed a window vent for my multiple lasers and this was perfect. The hoses on my lasers actually have all 3 sizes this fits, so I just clamped the adapters to the respective hoses and can quickly swap them out into the main panel. The quick and easy size adjustment allows me to move between the different windows very easily with the turn of a screw. If I had to come up with something negative, I’d say it could be a bit wider. The 8” adapter is close to being edge to edge and makes it difficult to get a snug fit into the window frame edges. I just slip a piece of foam insulation in first to give it more space and better seal, so not a huge problem at all. I’m not going to take away just for that, but if by chance the manufacturer reads this… make it just a bit wider so there’s more relief on the sides and it’ll be perfect. ... show more

I build plastic model kits and use an airbrush to do much of the painting, which I do using a desktop paint booth which has a fan to expel the spray from the painting out of a window. The booth did not come with anything else to dispel the paint spray out a window, so I bought this and it works perfectly. It doesn't come with the vent hose, however, but I purchased that separately from Amazon which together with the vent kit, my paint spray booth is now working perfectly to save me from breathing in the paint spray. ... show more

I was really skeptical that this window vent kit was going to work. Most portable AC units have horrible window vent kits and the one I had was driving me crazy. It was being held together by foam and tape. It looked horrible. The VIVOSUN window vent kit was easy to set up, and it fit in my window easily. There was only a small gap between the kit and my window, but the adhesive tape that they sent me fixed that issue right away. Now my window is sealed and I don't have to worry about air escaping or coming in. IMO this item deserves 5 stars. ... show more

I vent a laser out a bedroom window. Up until this purchase, I was using a piece of stiff foam that I cut to put the vent hose and would close that. This is an upgrade from the flimsy foam but it isn’t perfect. The lip of my windows is bigger than the area that is left for the edge. What happens is the hose prevents the insert from going to the bottom of the sill on one side and the other side wants to drop down so that creates a gap. It won’t close to seal the window. As a crappy fix, I have a piece of duct tape where I raise the drooping side to be flush with the side with the hose that sticks up. This would have been prevented by just allowing more than an inch and a half clearance. Would I buy again? No. Because it doesn’t fit my window. If I could have figured that out ahead of time and knew it would fit my window - yes, I would buy it. It is well made and does its job - if it fits your window. The value added stuff in the box was a nice touch but I didn’t need it. The hose was great but not flexible enough for my needs. I’ll try to use it with my dryer though. That would improve that situation. Seems sturdier Mthan regular vent hose. And it looks nice! ... show more

This would've been better if it came with a clamp for the hose instead of having to purchase one separately. I would've much rather had that than a third extender piece. Also, while they do include a lot of extenders, they ended up being way too long to fit properly, or just a hair too short without any of them. If the hole had been in the center or on a smaller piece, I could've fit a second extender and made it much more secure but that wasn't the case. Something that bothers me about this set, is that there isn't any way to lock the pieces in place once you have them where you want them. Pretty much anyone could walk up to your window, slide the pieces together, then easily pull it out of the window, and break into your house. I had to add a bunch of extra wood screws to try and stop the pieces from sliding, but that looks bad, wouldn't stop someone if they were determined enough, put unnecessary holes in my window frame, and still leaves me feeling a little paranoid at night. Overall, the quality felt more like something you'd buy from Dollar General or Big Lots and not anywhere close to where it should've been for almost forty bucks after tax. Like, this is barely sturdier than laundry basket plastic. I have ten dollar storage totes that are more rigid. Again, adding in a second extender would've helped, but it's not possible with the hole placement on the main piece. ... show more
