Bought two of these one for the attic, the other for the house subfloor. The one in the attic removes the hot air from the sun keeping the attic both cool and dry (to avoid mold), thus keeping what's there in storage safe from decomposition. The one in the subfloor takes the heat produced by the furnace out (otherwise my office which is right on top gets extra hot). My heat exhaust from hose still ready 110 degrees. Cold air is 55-60 degrees in Florida's plus 90 degrees. Better constructed. However, does not contain the exhaust heat much better than the factory supplied. I bought a real (glass insulated hose) that should be much cooler. Will have to wait and see. ... show more

    • SO GREAT -- replaced a vinyl duct from a portable AC
I have a portable AC unit from a big-box store. After several years the provided vinyl duct started to tear. It measured "about" 6", so I got this 6" replacement. This one is slightly larger than the other, but just big enough to fit outside the fixtures (as opposed to inside, in the original duct). It's a snug fit, I just taped around the edges with some gaff tape. Didn't even need the included GINORMOUS hose clamps. The duct itself is insulated and is noticeably cooler than the original vinyl, which means my AC is more effective at dumping heat back outside. The material is also more flexible and more attractive than before. I'm super happy with this duct, highly recommend it. ... show more

We had the chrome exhaust on this and it worked like meh. We changed the outlet hose to this one and it's amazing. We can take the hose outside (from our garage) and then when we're done just pull it back and no holes, poles or tears. We love it!

Very good quality.. both the sturdy roof vent and flexible ducting. The product as illustrated came as ordered. Pleased?... Yes! ... Except, at no fault of the seller, the shipping/delivery company apparently tried to destroy the boxes in handling. The box corners were crushed, one side torn open apprx 10 inches, and the product (metal roof vent) was bent on top and on two sides. Thankfully it was metal. However on a happy note after some elbow grease and metal bending, including repair of the internal baffle, it is 100% usable. ... show more
