  • Amazing Product
There’s really nothing bad I can say about this portable heater!! My wife and I love it and use it all winter to warm up our garage/shop! It is able to warm up a standard sized 2 car garage from approximately 45 deg to 75 d g in 15 to 20 min no problem on max power (68,000 btu) then we usually just turn it all the way down to low power (28,000 btu) and let that run on and off the rest of the time. We have to turn it completely off more often than not otherwise it gets WAYYYY too hot in our garage. Like above 80 deg F! And just for reference… the outside temperature is usually between freezing all the way down to well below zero… it doesn’t matter what the outside temperature is though. No matter what it is… this awesome little heater never struggles to get the temperature in our garage up to 70 deg + no problem! FYI… I installed 3 carbon monoxide detectors in our garage just to be safe. Yes I know that’s probably overkill for a 2 car garage and one heater but better safe than sorry. Anyway, this heater has NEVER made ANY of our CO detectors go off. Moreover, I’ve never been able to detect ANY carbon monoxide coming from this heater no matter how long it’s running or at what power. I feel like it is very safe! Just make sure your hook your lines up properly and also do a leak test to make sure they are not leaking anywhere and you’re good to go! Lastly, I want to point out one more feature that we LOVE about this heater! — the ability to run it EITHER from a standard wall plug via a 2 prong extension cord (110 v in our case here in the US) OR from a standard dewalt 20v max battery pack (one 4-5 ah pack is MORE than enough and you will LITERALLY run out of propane LONG before your battery is depleted! Even if using a 40 gal tank!! No joke!) This versatility is extremely handy. Game changer in my opinion! And doesn’t draw much power at all! Just enough to run the fan inside the heater. I would say the only thing they could do to improve on an already great design is to make it to where the battery will charge if plugged into the wall. It WILL NOT charge a battery pack when plugged in just to clarify! But this is not a big deal at all and I would consider myself just nitpicking the tool for things that could be better about it by even bringing that up! Anyway, again to sum this long review up… fantastic heater!! Couldn’t be more pleased! If you are considering this or one like it… just stop right now and BUY THIS ONE! you won’t be disappointed!! Oh and btw… all this is coming from a die-hard Milwaukee guy!!! So ya, that’s saying a lot! 😉👍 lol Cheers! ... show more

  • Nice little heater
Easy to use, either on an extension cord or with a 20V lithium battery. Puts out good heat and is compact and easy to transport.

  • its much more quiet than most propane heaters !
I have only had this heater for 9 days. As of now I am impressed for the amount of btu, portability and ease of use. In my opinion, in a pinch, this would be sufficient to maintain a average sized house warm during an emergency power outage even on its lowest setting. HOWEVER, realize that anything that produces heat by flame produces CO2, if using this in a emergency situation I highly recommend a CO2 detector and close monitoring. I hope this heater will last for years. Hopefully. ... show more

  • Nice Heater!
I like this little heater a lot. It puts out good heat, is portable, battery powered, quiet, light, and doesn't stink (like a kerosene one). However, it does eat a lot of propane, and is able to draw enough from a 20# bottle to freeze it up pretty quick. I noticed that when the tank gets below 1/4 full, that it ices over and throttles back the heat output a lot. If I shake the tank, it will pick up the output for a little bit and then go back down. I think a 60# tank will help this problem somewhat, and I plan to buy one soon. Battery life is to be expected from running a fan and the igniter, and i would recommend a 4AH or larger battery for good run time. The smaller batteries still work, but not for very long. The unit flashes a green light for a while before the battery dies to give you plenty of time to get it changed out. The only real criticism that I have for this unit is that DeWalt should have added a 120v AC plug for the times when you want long run times but don't have enough batteries to go around. Oh and also a Natural Gas Conversion kit would be nice too! ... show more

  • Works better than you'd think!
Easy to hook up and start up. Warm my shop from 45 degrees to 70 degrees in about ten minutes! My last propane heater never coul get my shop to 60 degrees in the past. Super quiet for how powerful Is. The outer shell doesn't seem to get hot to the touch at all.
