I've been wanting the Yamazaki shelf like this, but couldn't rationalize the cost for what is essentially gonna be a poop-catcher (I have perches above the TV for my 2 birds and draping paper over it hasn't been terribly convenient for when I actually want to see the TV.) So I was thrilled to find this for half the price of the Yamazaki. This is heavier than I was expecting but the brackets are really sturdy and it comes with a ton of screw and washer sizes that should fit most TVs. It was easy enough to put on, but in my impatience to set this up, I didn't double-check the screw length for attaching the shelf to brackets--there are TWO sets of that width, and the ones for the back of the TV are much longer and will punch through/stretch the veneer as pictured. I managed to shrink it back down using my heat gun and it's mostly flattened now, just a little messed-up looking. Not important for my use because I'm going to clip on a larger piece of MDF, but I'm sure most people would be unhappy with it if they made the same mistake! Easy to assemble though included instructions are somewhat unclear. Quite sturdy once attached to TV, adds a nice look to the set although it's not wide enough for a DVD or Blu-Ray player. Right now I'm using it to place my remote controls on for easier access.
