My cabling leaves a little to be desired, but it’s only the first stage of the project. The frame is stout, the screw holes were all completely without issues of needing to be tapped. Went together somewhat quickly with an impact gun for the nuts, bolts, and screws. I had no problems setting it up and have no fears of leaving expensive electronics hanging off my wall studs. Things I don’t like: -Screws are long for mounting to the face, they’re like an inch long. And they could have included more, you’ll not have enough for 6+ 1U devices or shelves. Not really a problem, just thought it was weird. -the supplied washers for those smaller screws are essentially made of aluminum foil and buckle immediately when being tightened.

I used this rack to mount some basic home networking equipment in a closet. The dimensions were exactly as advertised and it fit perfectly. The construction is extremely solid. The only downside was that, during assembly, a couple of the screws were a little tedious to turn due to the limited range of motion of the socket wrench- this can be mitigated by using a slimmer socket wrench.

As of today, you will still need to tap the mounting holes before assembly. The rack screws that come with the unit are M5x0.80 and I used a tap. I did go and purchase new M5x0.80 screws as well, you may not have to. (after tapping, no need for new screws). Tapping the screw holes on the rack resolved my issues. I incurred an additional $20 in expense for the M5x0.80 tap and T-Handle Tap Wrench. Now that I have this, I would not hesitate to purchase this rack again. It's a good rack unit, as opposed to a great one. (This is based on the aggravation of having to tap the screw holes)

I mounted this in my garage for my network equipment. This rack is straight 10U, with space 1 and 10 being the top and bottom. So you can mount equipment directly to those slots or you can use the plates they provide. Easy to install and very durable. Very happy with the product, probably would be great if they offered the rack without shelves as now I'm just sitting on these.

Update about 2 weeks later 4-4-23: The front electronics screw holes were a disaster. Snapped off 2 screws trying to get them through the massive amount of paint. However, an A+ goes to the seller to try and make it right. They refunded my purchase without me asking for one, and promised that their manufacturer was going to make sure they wouldn't over-paint it in the future. So as long as that is true, then I'll for sure buy this rack again. Changing my 3-star review to 4-star for the prompt seller feedback. Older review: This rack is sturdy, well built(except for mounted bolts), and cheap. A soft complaint is like what others have mentioned. This is not a true 10u open rack without some ingenuity. There are brace pieces for the top and bottom of the front of the rack. If you use those braces, they use u1 and u10. However, the way the rack and braces are built, you could easily use the included shelves as braces instead or even your rack mounted gear as braces. Not that hard to figure out. A hard complaint is the assembly. They have coated the rear mounting bolts/studs with the thick paint that is covering the rest of the hardware. I cannot get ANY of the nuts started on the bolts/studs. So now my assembly has included taking a wire brush on a drill and grinding off the paint without damaging the bolt threads. I included a picture of the paint on the bolt threads. Overall, is it worth the $30-$50 cheaper price tag than the other "namebrand"? I'll let you know after I head to the garage to grab tools.

This is a great addition for my office and all my equipment. It was easy to build and is very sturdy. Metal is solid and very versatile if you wanted to wall mount. Mine is stationary on shelving. Would highly recommend.
