### Review: Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub – Ultra-Slim Data USB Hub with 2 ft Extended Cable The **Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub** is a compact and efficient solution for expanding your USB connectivity. With its sleek design and extended cable, this hub is ideal for both home and office use. Here’s a detailed review of its features and performance: #### Design and Build Quality The Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub boasts an ultra-slim and lightweight design, making it highly portable and easy to carry. The build quality is robust, with a durable exterior that can withstand daily use. Its sleek and minimalistic design ensures it doesn’t take up much space on your desk, making it a perfect addition to any setup. #### Connectivity and Performance This USB hub offers four USB 3.0 ports, providing data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps, which is significantly faster than USB 2.0. This makes it ideal for transferring large files, syncing devices, and connecting peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and external drives. The hub supports plug-and-play functionality, meaning no additional drivers are required for most operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. #### Extended Cable The included 2 ft extended cable adds flexibility to your setup, allowing you to position the hub conveniently on your desk or workspace. This length is perfect for users who need to connect devices that are slightly further away from their computer or those who prefer a tidy and organized workspace without tangled cables. #### Compatibility The Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub is compatible with a wide range of devices, including laptops, desktops, and tablets. It is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices, ensuring you can connect older peripherals without any issues. The hub provides a reliable connection, making it suitable for both personal and professional use. #### Power and Safety While the hub is designed primarily for data transfer, it is capable of handling low-power devices without an external power source. However, for power-hungry devices, an additional power supply may be needed. Anker’s MultiProtect safety system provides surge protection, temperature control, and short-circuit prevention, ensuring the safety of your connected devices. ### Pros - **Ultra-Slim Design**: Compact and lightweight, perfect for portability. - **High-Speed Data Transfer**: USB 3.0 ports offer speeds up to 5 Gbps. - **Extended Cable**: 2 ft cable provides flexibility and convenience in positioning. - **Wide Compatibility**: Works with various devices and operating systems. - **Plug-and-Play**: No additional drivers needed for most systems. - **Safety Features**: Includes surge protection and short-circuit prevention. ### Cons - **Limited Power Delivery**: May require an external power source for high-power devices. - **Non-Charging Ports**: Primarily designed for data transfer, not for charging multiple devices simultaneously. ### Conclusion The **Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, Ultra-Slim Data USB Hub with 2 ft Extended Cable** is an excellent choice for anyone needing to expand their USB connectivity. Its sleek design, high-speed data transfer capabilities, and extended cable make it a versatile and convenient accessory for both home and office use. Despite its limited power delivery for high-power devices, its performance and reliability make it a valuable addition to any tech setup. Highly recommended for users looking for a compact and efficient USB hub solution.

After purchasing a new laptop a few months ago, I knew that I would have to purchase a USB hub, as my laptop only came with 3 ports, and I needed more than just that. The result of this led me to look online, where I stumbled across this product (Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, Ultra Slim Data USB Hub with 2ft Extended Cable) as it was Amazon’s choice in USB Hub’s. After receiving the product, and using it for a few weeks, I decided to purchase another! I am excited to discuss why I like this product, and why I think that you, too, will have a great experience with ANKER (regarding this product). As usual TLDR at bottom. PRO’s -This USB hub is extremely modern and slim, which I really like the look of! About the same thickness of my laptop (maybe around 1cm or so). It is also very light, which makes it easy to throw in my bag when I need to take it on the go. -I can run my webcam, microphone, mouse, and keyboard all on the same hub! This allows for me to utilize four separate products in a hub that only takes up one port in total! This really helps since the amount of USB based products that I used greatly outnumbers the amount on my computer, and I wouldn’t be able to use products I need without this hub! Do keep in mind there is a limit for the number of devices you can place on this hub, (check on listing description for more information), but I have had no problems connecting and running what I need to on this hub). -USB Hub comes with a warranty card and instructions which are both appreciated. Also goes into detail about customer service and support, set up details, and other information regarding this product. -USB Hub is available in black (not sure if there are any other colors), but they really made a nice-looking product! Sure, there are some cheaper ones, but in my opinion, I much prefer the look and feel of this product, almost premium. Middle Ground (Product information that is not amazing but not awful) -Cable length is advertised as 2ft, which is correct. I do feel that YMMV depending on how far away your desktop PC is from where you need the USB hub to be. I use a laptop, so I never have any problems with cable length, but I don’t think if they added an extra foot or two to the length would really hurt the product. (Might be a good idea for a future model). -Product feels a tiny bit flimsy, nothing that I worry about, but be cautious of holding it too hard, as it is already thing with multiple hollowed out points for the USB slots. -There is a small LED light that indicates the USB Hub has power. It is not bright at all but sometimes that you may want to note if any light at all bothers you. Really hasn’t been a problem for me, and if it is for you, just get a piece of tape. CON’s -Fortunately, I haven’t had anything that would be a con for this product, it just is all around a great product, which is why I feel it deserves 5/5 stars. If you are looking for a USB hub, I can promise you that you won’t be disappointed! TLDR: Excellent USB Hub all Around. Double check how much cable length you need (as this is only 2ft) but asides from that highly recommend.

Works perfectly. Exactly as described. Just a simple low power, high speed, USB hub at a nice price for a quality product.

Works good so far, sometimes cpu doesn’t recognize when a device is connected, its not related to any specific port on the product. 3 of the ports are connected to external hard drives powered by the usb and the 4th is being used for a Bluetooth receiver for keyboard/mouse. Last night it all worked initially then somewhere along the way the connection was lost to one of the hard drives. Issue persisted until i unplugged and replugged everything on the hub. Speed is good, honestly seems faster than what was. Im happy with it, well worth it even if there is some issue with power or one of the usb.

This hub was a good bargin and works great as a hub connected to a monitor which is then connected via USB 3 to the computer. This does not get hot like many generic hubs when in heavy use.

So, my old USB hub was basically breaking down anything that had been connected to it was starting to randomly turn off and back on again. And so, I knew I needed a new one to replace it thankfully I had been buying some other items from Anker and saw this. And so, I bought one now I would have also gotten the USB-C version but something I was getting at the time had me guessing that that port was going to be used so I had to pass on it. But this thing has been amazing. First off, its small and sleek in fact I believe I'd have to have 3 of these to match the size of my last one. It perfectly aligns with the back of my PC and the lighting from it isn't even noticeable unlike my last one which I had to throw a piece of tape over it to "Turn off the light" on it. All in all, a fantastic device despite only having four ports it doesn't feel like a deal breaker to me. At the time of writing, it's currently on sale but i know I'd EASILY buy a few more of this item just to have a few more ports to work with.

I’ve been using this USB hub with my Lenovo Legion Go, and so far I’m very satisfied. It works exactly as expected — all ports are recognized instantly, and I haven’t experienced any connection drops or issues. The build quality feels solid, especially for a compact hub like this. It’s lightweight, easy to carry around, and doesn’t take up much space, which is perfect for a portable setup. I’ve connected multiple devices at once (mouse, keyboard, USB drive), and everything runs smoothly without any noticeable slowdown. One small thing to keep in mind is that the cable could be a bit longer depending on your setup, but for me it works fine. Overall, it’s a reliable and well-built hub. No problems so far, and I would definitely recommend it.
