I like this hub, it works ok but it does draw power. I found that when I plugged it in with a couple devices the computer shut it off because it was drawing too much power. Could be the devices I had plugged in were too much for one socket but either way I couldn't use it the way I wanted. When the socket was active, it worked fine.

As the powers that be at Apple don’t understand that those of us using their laptops actually do use accessories such as external harddrives, card readers etc, hubs such as this are essential accessories. I have found the Acer products do the job they are meant to.

Absolute Garbage. I have this connected to a brand new Mac Mini M4. I needed some additional USB-C ports to sync my iPhone and iPad and occasionally connect an external SSD. This piece of crap can't maintain a connection. It drops it as soon as I attempt to sync my devices. Keep in mind that i'm not using this dongle to charge my iPad or iPhone, only to sync one that is already fully charged. I keep all the sync cables plugged in, but i'm only connecting one device at a time. I only got this dongle so I wouldn't have to keep switching cables. An eternal SSD drive isn't any better. I get random error messages that the drive was disconnected without being properly ejected. I didn't eject the drive. I'm in the middle of copying files! Any one of these devices connected directly to the same USB-C port on the Mac Mini work flawlessly, but just to prove to myself it was this hub and not my Mac, I tried using this hub on my work Windows 10 PC. The results are the same. This hub is a useless piece of junk.
