This is exactly what I expected--a storage container that I can also use as a blending container for my Vitamix Immersion Blender. The container is sturdy and has a tight-fitting lid. In fact, the lid can be quite difficult to remove if it's tightened very much. The container is roomy (32 oz/960 ml) and of sturdy quality. It's useful for blending soup, beverages, or other items and then putting the lid on it for storage. No transfer of containers is necessary. The shape is designed for an immersion blender and facilitates better blending action and minimal splash out. It's nothing fancy, but it's just what I needed for it's intended use.     • Works well
This works great with the vitamix immersion blender for small amounts. A regular blender is too big sometimes and this works great. It is well made and I like that it has a lid to store the contents of needed.

    • Good for making protein/supplement drinks
I use this for making my morning protein and supplements drinks using an immersion blender, and it works well for the purpose. The curved shoulder of the container helps keep the blending ingredients from spraying out of the jar -- which is good. On the other hand, it can also catch bits, and make cleaning a little more difficult, which is a slight negative. I pour the blended drink into a glass to drink it, since the jar is a bit big and awkward to drink out of directly -- I have small hands. I rinse the jar immediately after pouring the blended drink into a glass, and then put it in the top rack of our dishwasher, and it comes out sparkling clean, so no problem. I bought two, so I'd always have a clean one ready for use, but so far I've only needed one. Good product! ... show more

    • Perfect for Immersion Blender Use
Perfect to use in tandem with any immersion blender. I use it to make the batter for Dutch Baby and sauces/dressings. It keeps the mess contained and it's easy to store with the cap in the fridge until ready to cook or serve. Despite the channels, it is easy to clean; I'll put it in the top rack of the dishwasher or hand wash. The channels are there to ensure a good grip when using, so I'm not mad about it. ... show more

    • Lid gets stuck
The jars plastic and the lid does get stuck. You can’t tighten it too much or you can’t open it again.

    • No Mess Blending!!!
The Vitamix blending jar is the perfect size for preparing my protein shake. It's shape keeps the ingredients from escaping and making a mess while blending. Also, cleaning the container is fast and easy.

    • Manufacturing defect makes lid very difficult to remove
I bought my first one and tried to screw the lid off and on and found the lid got stuck and required a lot of force to remove. As in all the force I could muster. And a really strange pattern where it would go from a little stuck when screwing it on where you could remove it and then if you screwed it on a tiny bit more it would take all the force I could produce to remove it. So I returned it and ordered another one. Exact same pattern. This is clearly a manufacturing defect for a batch because others with this jar don't seem to be running into this issue at all. But I'm going to return both and wait a few weeks before ordering another because the ones I have are unusable. ... show more
