This is exactly what I expected--a storage container that I can also use as a blending container for my Vitamix Immersion Blender. The container is sturdy and has a tight-fitting lid. In fact, the lid can be quite difficult to remove if it's tightened very much. The container is roomy (32 oz/960 ml) and of sturdy quality. It's useful for blending soup, beverages, or other items and then putting the lid on it for storage. No transfer of containers is necessary. The shape is designed for an immersion blender and facilitates better blending action and minimal splash out. It's nothing fancy, but it's just what I needed for it's intended use. I purchased two of them. They're a bit pricey but I don't expect to need to buy any more. They seem very durable. ... show more

This works great with the vitamix immersion blender for small amounts. A regular blender is too big sometimes and this works great. It is well made and I like that it has a lid to store the contents of needed.

    • Lid gets stuck, resolves with use
Jar works fine for blending. But the lid gets stuck when you try to twist it open. I called Vitamix, I'm not missing anything like a washer or o-ring. It's just a design flaw. If you try to pry it off a bit then it will snap loose a bit and then you can twist it off easier. Update: After a couple days of using it the issue with the lid the lid getting stuck has resolved itself. Maybe a sharp edge or something where the jar and lid meet has worn in. Anyway, it's now no harder to unscrew than how hard it was tightened. Revising to 5 stars. Also - there are a few reviews mentioning the immersion blender blades hitting the bottom of the jar. I have the Vitamix immersion blender, and the blades absolutely never hit the bottom. It has a shroud around the blades that prevent that. ... show more

I really like this, the only issue I’ve encountered is the seal. It feels loose so you tighten it, and then it’s too tight and you’re having to ask for help to get it open. It’s like there’s no middle ground. Overall, though, good quality, a really good size, there’s not a lot of containers this size, and works well with the blender. ... show more

    • Defect: Lid won’t unscrew
As others have mentioned, there was a manufacturing defect that led to these being produced such that if you put the lid on, it would not come off. I had to go out into the shop, grab my strap wrench, and tug with enough force I was concerned about breaking it….and that was the only way to come off. I returned it. Maybe it’ll be great when they fix the defect on the next batch. At the time I bought it (Dec 2025) it was useless. Utter junk. ... show more

    • Interior surface has channels & grooves, difficult to scrape out contents.
I bought this blending jar to use with my immersion blender that did not come with a jar. At first I thought the size was a little large, but it works well for things like smoothies, vinaigrette, etc. I also like that the jar has measurements on the side and a lid. The one thing that I do not like is that the interior does not have a smooth surface instead had multiple grooves and channels. This makes it difficult to use a rubber/silicone spatula to remove the contents. I still like it and will use it, but that is super annoying. ... show more
