It does have a pocket for storage and the zipper on the back is a great idea since it is very fitted to your mixer size and once over the front, no pulling, just zip it up in the back. I have had my KitchenAid stand mixer for a number of years now, but never thought or even knew that KitchenAid made a cover for it. On a recent Prime Day, I came across the cover, also in Empire Red, and decided that my beautiful, faithful, hardworking mixer deserved a cover. I found it for a great price on a recent Prime Day, so it was...why not? When the cover arrived, I could tell it was quality. The fabric is heavy and quilted with reinforced stitching and it fits like a glove. It is almost as if my mixer stood for a fitting! I immediately tried to pull the entire cover down over the mixer, but that was not happening. I could not slip the cover over the protrusion of the attachment knob. So I unzipped the zipper, which stretches almost up the entire back of the mixer, and then pulled the cover over the mixer and zipped it back up. Eureka! Success...it worked like a charm as did the nylon zipper I might add. There is a pocket on the outside to tuck in the bread hook and other mixing blade, but I keep mine in the bowl. My mixer now looks relaxed and peaceful in her new 100% cotton coveralls! She sits on a shelf in the pantry where the door is constantly opened and closed. This will offer dust protection and keep her clean while she is resting; I could not be happier. I highly recommend this cover for your tilt-top KitchenAid stand mixer. I am also a proponent of purchasing the KitchenAid brand cover and not a "compatible" imposter. The cover fit my 4.5q Kitchenaid Tikt-Head Stand mixer perfectly! It keeps dust and everything out of my mixer, so it works very well. It easy to take on and put off. My only issue is the pocket on the outside… it isn’t big enough to put anything in, not a manual, attachment - a so likely nothing. Which sucks. ... show more

Perfect for the KitchenAid Tilt-Head stand mixer my husband gifted me BEFORE Christmas! I baked 200 cookies the Monday after Thanksgiving but that was also BEFORE the KitchenAid! After he saw such a feat he immediately went out and purchased it for me! What a man, huh?!! Since my mixer is silver, I ordered the gray and it is a true gray; especially love the zipper up the back. The fabric is quilted and feels quite heavy which makes me feel this will hold up well.
