  • Incredible Picture — Here’s How to Get the Most Out of It
Set name: VisionMaster Pro(Moonlight Gold)
I’ve been using the Valerion VisionMaster Pro 4K Laser Projector for a few weeks now, and overall I’m extremely impressed. The image quality is sharp, colors are vibrant, and brightness is more than enough even in a moderately lit room. It really delivers a premium home theater experience. That said, getting the best performance out of this projector takes a bit of setup. Here are a few tips that made a big difference for me: 1. Take time with placement and alignment Out of the box, it’s tempting to rely on keystone correction, but you’ll get a noticeably sharper image if you physically align the projector as square to the screen as possible. Minimize digital correction whenever you can. 2. Use a proper screen (or optimize your wall) While it works on a plain wall, pairing it with a decent ALR or matte white screen significantly improves contrast and perceived brightness. If using a wall, make sure it’s smooth and painted with a neutral white or light gray. 3. Adjust picture settings — don’t stick with default The default mode is good, but tweaking brightness, contrast, and color temperature based on your room lighting makes a big difference. I found “Cinema” or “Movie” mode to be the best starting point. 4. Control ambient light Even though this projector is bright, reducing ambient light (especially from windows) dramatically improves black levels and overall contrast. Simple blackout curtains go a long way. 5. Optimize your source quality To really see what this projector can do, feed it high-quality 4K content. Streaming at lower bitrates doesn’t do it justice. A good streaming device or Blu-ray source elevates the experience. 6. Sound setup matters The built-in audio is decent, but pairing it with a soundbar or external speakers transforms the experience into a true home theater. 7. Check firmware updates early Make sure you update the firmware when you first set it up. It can improve performance, fix bugs, and sometimes add features. Bottom line: This is a fantastic projector with excellent image quality, but it rewards a bit of thoughtful setup. Spend an extra hour dialing things in, and you’ll get a picture that genuinely feels cinematic. Highly recommended ... show more

  • Exceptional and very hard to justify spending more.
Set name: VisionMaster Pro(Moonlight Gold)
Finally sprang for a good projector. Something I have wanted for decades. I wanted brightness high enough for moderate room light where you can still see what you are doing. The Valerion Visionmaster pro does this well, but of course is significantly better in as dark a room as you can get. I did not want to compromise color quality, contrast or resolution. This Projector absolutely met all my needs. I currently project from a ceiling mount to a 120inch wall in my living room with good window light blockage. Visuals are just wonderful. I have used it outdoors on a 200inch screen and plan to have the occasional get together with friends during the playoffs or whatever. It is absolutely bright and clear outdoors on a dark night on a 200 inch screen. Very happy. It handles all the top video and audio formats. Good audio pass through to the sound system or feed from it depending what hardware configuration you choose. I chose the Pro vs the pro 2 because they are essentially the same projector just 20% less brightness and that honestly would not make any real world difference for me. Only the newest Xgimi Titan Noir coming out for 4 times the price I paid for an open box Pro would seem to me a true upgrade. But not really 4 times the improvement and I have no desire to do so. I did have an Xgimi Horizon 1080p for about a week that simply was not satisfactory. The Valerion Visionmaster Pro is FAR superior. Brightness Resolution with vastly superior Contrast and Color. Perhaps one area it did not excel at was 3d. It works, it's kinda fun but its a bit choppy at times when watching Avatar Fire and Ash and Guardians of the Galaxy. Was a bonus feature that did not exceed expectations...but not a dealbreaker for me. I am more than satisfied , I am truly delighted every time I watch. Oh.... My non technical semi interested wife actually said it looks better than going to the theatre. Thank-You Valerion ... show more

  • Incredible Value and Picture Quality
Set name: VisionMaster Max(Obsidian Black)
Even though my Epson 5040 UBe had it's issues, including strange power up hiccups and the occasional screen blanking, once it began developing pink vertical bars running down the image, I finally had an undeniably compelling reason to upgrade my projector setup. I hadn't been following the projector scene for many years, and had anticipated simply purchasing a newer Epson model as a replacement, but after doing a little bit of research, I stumbled upon some reviews describing the Valerion line up of projectors. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, as I had not heard of Valerion before, but after watching and reading all of the reviews and impressions I could find, I ultimately decided to take a leap of faith and give the Valerion VisionMaster Max a try. And, I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID. This projector, paired with Valerion's 150in basic Matte White screen, gives an image that absolutely blows my previous experience out of the water. The sharpness of the 4k and the HDR grade brightness and highlights, all while maintaining deep blacks and rich colors, makes all content, especially HDR, look stunning and impactful. Furthermore, while I know it would bother many of the purists out there, I actually like the implementation of motion smoothing as well, making particularly nature and sports content incredibly more life-like at 4k/60Hz. And at 1080p/120Hz (I have yet to even try 1080/240Hz), gaming on this projector is smooth as butter with no perceptible input lag. But, what really sets this projector apart is its VALUE! In today's tumultuous economic times, it is rare to find things anymore that really make you feel like you are getting good value for your money. Thank you Valerion for keeping your pricing competitive, and I would challenge anyone to find a projector at the moment with a better price to performance ratio. And, to top it all off, Valerion's customer service has been outstanding. I did not have a single issue setting up my projector, or putting together the massive 150in screen (by myself). I only reached out to them prior to my purchase to ask them to confirm some of the dimensions they had listed for their screen size. Regardless, they had since checked in with me with multiple follow-up emails, making themselves available to me for any questions along the way and making sure I was able to setup everything without a hitch. The only thing I wish came standard was a lens with a longer throw ratio. It certainly wouldn't apply to everyone, but for my room, the projector sits about 19.5 ft away from the screen. The throw ratio of the optical lens can't quite get the image down to 150in, so I have been using digital zoom to shrink the image a bit further to match the screen size. Unfortunately, that means I am losing a little with respect to brightness and sharpness. Fortunately, Valerion has confirmed with me that they are still planning on releasing an external lens, to increase the throw ratio to accommodate projector placement further away from the screen, which I hope will be available soon for purchase. Thanks Valerion for offering such a great product at a very reasonable price! I am thrilled to have become part of the Valerion club, and I wish them ongoing success in the projector space! ... show more

  • Amazing Projector - Definitely recommend
Set name: VisionMaster Pro(Moonlight Gold)
My first impression of the projector’s build quality was excellent—it looks and feels very premium, and even the remote has a high-end finish. I projected onto a 110-inch wall painted with Behr Silver Screen (#770E-2) Matte Interior Paint & Primer, and the picture quality is crisp with accurate colors. I used TheHookup Pro2 settings, and they worked perfectly. So far, I haven’t encountered any major issues except for the known subtitle issue when EBL is enabled. The subtitles appear brighter during bright scenes and dimmer during dark scenes. Additionally, the projector’s fan noise fluctuates during these transitions. I have a 5.2.2 audio setup, and during fast-paced scenes, I can hear the fan noise. However, I’m used to it because my previous Vankyo LED projector was much louder—compared to that, this one is relatively quiet. My room is dark with blackout curtains and Cracked Pepper matte finish on all walls except the projection wall. I chose the Pro model because of its 2500 lumens of brightness and optical zoom. I was considering the Plus 2, but due to ambient light from the ceiling, I went with the Pro. To my surprise, even with some ambient light, the Pro was brighter than expected, so I usually keep the brightness at 7 or 8. However, during HDR10+ or Dolby Vision playback, the image looks slightly dull, so I increase the brightness to the maximum (10). The black levels are impressive, and the difference is noticeable. I believe upgrading to a premium projection screen would further enhance color accuracy and black levels. ... show more

  • Visionmaster pro 2: Premium projector with amazing picture quality
Set name: VisionMaster Pro2(Elegant Grey)
I am using VisionMaster Pro 2 on a 135 inch screen and the picture quality is nothing less than a high end tv. I have tried few projectors before, however pro 2 is outstanding, the ease of use, snappy UI(google tv) and clarity is amazing. Pros: 1) Awesome picture quality 2) Snappy UI and it offers google TV 3) Very quite 4)Premium quality and look 5) 3 hdmi ports are handy 6) smooth gaming 7) Seamless set up and keystone and optical zoom helps 8) Reasonable price for the quality of the product 9) okay sound without speakers Feedback: Even after doing the keystone and sizing the picture in my screen, I am getting a little faint light spill on the side of the screen, however I might not be placing the project at correct place, I am still in the process of correcting it. ... show more

  • Great picture and bang for the buck
Set name: VisionMaster Max(Obsidian Black)
I upgraded it from an epson 6040 1080p projector that It is so close to being a 5/5. The picture quality is bright and colors are crisp. I included the pic just to show the brightness. The pic doesn't do the projector justice in terms of quality. The only reason I give it a 4 is because there isn't an adjustment for making the lasers converge, so if you are very close, you can notice it. Also - the RBE reduction works fabulously and is needed but there is a high-pitched sound that isn't loud, but noticeable. It's nowhere near as loud as the epson fan, but I'm a bit sensitive to it. I hardly notice it any more. I just couldn't justify the addition 3-5 thousand more for a Sony or Epson or JVC. The picture is so good, I don't feel like I made any noticeable sacrifice. FYI - I run everything through my home theatre system and use Roku, so I can't comment on all of the embedded apps. I wasn't looking for that functionality at all. Pros: - Bright with great blacks - Brilliant colors - Auto calibration to the screen is amazing. It snaps the pic right on my 120" screen. - Quiet (with exception of the RBE reduction) Cons - 1/4 mount. I had to drill a piece of steel and make an adapter It seems heavy for one 1/4" mount. - RBE reduction sound. - That's about it. ... show more

  • Excellent picture, great build quality and fastastic customer service make this recommended
Set name: VisionMaster Pro2(Elegant Grey)
Picture quality is very good once it is set up correctly. I had some initial issues with the setup of the projector, and the folks at Valerion were amazing at helping along the way to make sure everything was as close to perfect as possible. They went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. You don't find that type of service very often today, so I cannot say enough good things about their products and their willingness to stand behind them. Keep in mind these portable types of projectors have NO lens shift capabilities which means you must center it exactly horizontally and vertically so as not to use keystone as much as possible, which can degrade the quality of the picture. I’m not sure why these companies think you only want to mount this hanging from a 10 foot ceiling facing downward, or put it on the floor or a coffee table facing upward. There is no in between. In fact if you place the projector on a shelf that is 6 feet off the ground like we have it, you will have to raise the back of the projector so the lens can point toward the middle where the screen is. The best and safest way to do this is to use the Valerion gimbal that they offer for this projector. For us, the gimbal was a game changer in allowing a lot more flexibility for placement, but depending on your situation, you may not need it. The GUI on the projector is very intuitive, and there are more options than you can imagine to adjust the picture quality. The projector also uses the Google TV app for the Operating System, which works very well and is very responsive. The build quality of this projector is very impressive as it is sleek and modern, and very heavy for its size due to the exterior being mainly metal instead of plastic like most other projectors in this price range. All in all, this is a fantastic projector. The picture quality is excellent. It is very bright and very sharp. I compared this projector in my house alongside a Hisense C2 Ultra, Epson 3800 and Nebula X1, and this projector beat all of them in style and picture quality. You can't go wrong choosing this projector. ... show more

  • Better than a High-end TV for Sports and Movies (My Custom Settings Included)
Set name: VisionMaster Pro2(Elegant Grey)
After moving several times, I decided I was done buying TVs. I’ve spent good money on high-end TVs, only to run into issues within three years. On top of that, the cost and hassle of transporting large TVs during moves was simply frustrating. Even though my wife preferred getting another TV, I decided to give a projector a try for those reasons. After researching countless models and watching what felt like endless YouTube “reviews” (many of which honestly felt more like ads), I chose the Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2. The first thing I watched on it was Olympic skiing footage, and I was genuinely shocked. In my opinion, projectors absolutely outperform TVs when it comes to fast-moving content. The sense of motion feels more natural and immersive. After that, I watched F1 and Top Gun: Maverick — and the cinematic immersion was on a completely different level compared to watching on a TV. My living room has a fairly large wall, so I decided not to use a dedicated screen. I’m sure image quality would improve even further with a proper screen, but even projecting directly onto the wall, I’m more than satisfied. One thing I strongly believe about projectors is that personalization matters a lot. It’s not like buying clothes “close enough” to your size — it’s more like tailoring something to fit you perfectly. I highly recommend taking the time to adjust settings until they truly match your own eyes and preferences. I currently use it with an Apple TV 4K. The built-in Google TV system is perfectly fine, but I personally prefer the slightly warmer color tone of Apple TV. Below are the settings I’m using. I based these on U.S. community discussions and adjusted them further using guidance from Gemini and ChatGPT. Apple TV 4K Settings: • Format: 4K SDR • Match Content: Range – On / Frame Rate – On • Chroma: 4:2:2 Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 Settings: For Movies (HDR / Dolby Vision): • Picture Mode: Filmmaker or Theater • Color Temperature: Warm 1 or Warm 2 • Enhanced Black Level (EBL): Low or Medium • Dynamic Tone Mapping: On • Laser Luminance: 6–8 in a dark room (10 if there is ambient light) Motion & Clarity: • Motion Enhancement (MEMC): Film or Off • DLP Turbo Mode: Off From my personal experience, I don’t really notice rainbow effect (RBE) when watching YouTube content. However, when watching movies through Apple TV, I did occasionally notice RBE. Enabling RBE reduction settings significantly minimized it for me. One last personal observation: if you wear glasses, lens quality may affect your experience more than you think. Unlike TVs, projectors are extremely light-sensitive. I use two different lenses with the same prescription but different price ranges, and I can definitely see a difference. Watching with higher-quality lenses noticeably improved my overall viewing satisfaction. Overall, switching to a projector has completely changed how I experience movies at home. For anyone who moves frequently or wants a more cinematic experience, this has been a great decision for me. ... show more
