Verdict: This product is a buy! If you have a ring doorbell, standard 4” siding, and are looking for an easy way replace your existing doorbell, this product is perfect you! Review: When I first purchased my ring battery video doorbell, I was surprised by how poor the included mounting hardware was. I immediately went on the hunt for something clean and secure, that didn’t break the bank. After doing much research I decided this product was the best way to mount my ring doorbell on my new home which has standard 4” vinyl siding. This product fit securely against the siding and was extremely easy to install overtop the my old school doorbell, leaving no cracks or crevices where water could get in. This product seems very durable appears as though it will last for years to come. Did I mention that it would be easy for any type of installer. Whether you’re handy or not.     • Solved My Problem
I bought two Ring Gen. 2 video cameras, but the mounting area was to slim for these units and so was other mounting options. This worked like a charm. Even though my siding was slightly over 4 inches (more like 4 3/8ths ) they still worked. I made sure the bottom was tight to the lower edge of the siding, the upper edge sat flush on the bottom of the next higher course of siding. I used the "A" screws for the mounting plate, "C" screws to attach the Ring mounting plate to the siding plate, and finished with the security screws provided by Ring to complete the install. Once I knew where I wanted it installation took me a couple minutes with a drill & a screwdriver for the small screws. ... show more

This is a must have if you have vinyl siding where your doorbell is installed. Without it it will be impossible and unsafe to install, trust me I tried it the wrong way! It makes the install easy and flush with your siding and looks great.
